I think you are not up-to-date. It was dead and then revived a few weeks ago from another company.

Which is a shame because the show managed to continue living past its initial creator when he died in like S3 or something. TO see it get closed like this kind of sucks. RWBY was one of those success stories of a small feeling indie group for animation growing up and gaining momentum.

Dont know, because I dont remember. I just remember a flood of “RWBY is dead” memes a month ago and then suddenly a bunch of “its not dead!” memes with some company being the saviour.

For the people saying RWBY died with RT.

I haven’t watched since… End of s7, but it probably would be an easier “anime” collab to make since it’s already 3d and would just be tuned to fit Blizz’s aesthetic.

I can’t say I agree with all the characters you’ve assigned, but my main complaint would be Yang, she should be a tank as last I checked she can’t fly doesn’t fire rockets and was kinda the hit taker of RWBY?
I’d go with Queen for Yang personally, shotgun gauntlet is in the game as Doom which would be hilarious tbh, but Queen’s our only lady shotgunner even though Zarya’s “stronger the more you’re hit” does fit Yang’s semblance better.
Ironwood should also be Cass, as far as I’m aware and I didn;t watch one season in particular that could totally negate that, we’ve only seen James use pistols. Back in v3 at the fall of Beacon and in his confrontation with Watts in v7 he uses a handgun.
The rest are pretty fine to good assuming you’re looking more at kit than fitting personality.

Speak for yourself, I would spend 50-60 dollars on a pack on all the characters even if i didnt play them.

Considering they JUST bought the rights, presumably you would be looking at a year out minimum as these sorts of negotiations take time.
