yes, its a pain. the thing is that cheats are so advanced now, they can change intensity. I’ve had cheaters look okay at beginning but ramp it up as we advanced into the match, I’ve had two hanzos that had the same cheat yesterday, am sure we’ve all seen it, where his reticle very slightly jumps to target like a few pixels and then gets back to where it was after he lets the arrow go perfectly the same way every time. two days ago I had a mcree that ramped tf up out of his aimbot when we were tied up on that 5 point map, I think anubis, and he was hitting 95% of his shots lol. only ones he missed were when you hid behind a wall
its not worth reporting, the vac sucks and its all handled by AI you better bet, so I highly doubt they ban people unless they get reported a TON, and dont check replays manually. most people quite frank cant tell if a person is cheating
I had a game two months ago. where the enemy ana, was blatantly cheating, not just aim bot, literal trigger bot where her healing reticle was jumping all over the screen at an insane pace whenever she clicked. and nobody mentioned it in chat except me. I told them “look at the death replay” and one was like “yeah maybe” and at the end of the game they said ggs and nobody reported them Id bet besides me
most people that play ow are casual players and cant tell people are hacking and generally dont bother making accusations.

its honestly frustrating. I said she was cheating and no one listened. I got called a noob by the tank before he left the game. Ashe isn’t even trying to hide it and its not a new account. Something more needs to be done.
making the game free to play was an awful choice.

thats the usual. “oh you just suck nobody is cheating”. like no. watch the kill replay, that bad player that can’t position doesn’t suddenly have better aim than an OWL player and the game sense of a coconut.
its also insane the amount of people that are wall hacking, way way more people than aim botters. you can’t flank in OW2 anymore. did you notice that?. you remember flanking sometimes in OW1 with ults? yeah, doesn’t happen with OW2 every anymore. the wall hackers are dime a dozen, you’d literally sit in a corner before they spawn and they know where you are lol.

yea i do wonder about wall hackers. seems like that is the more common one and harder to detect than aim locking
i wonder how it works tho, is it limited in range? i never hack so lol…
(well i hack as sombra legally in the game and she can have walls sometimes, forgot why she does… target low health? or hacked target…? forgot)

easiest way to find a wall hacker is to swap to a sombra and see how fast they start reacting to your movement around the map lol.

the funny part about that is that i notice it more when im widowmaker going against an enemy widowmaker

I was playing against a widow last month, I swapped to sombra, before I was even in her vicinity. she knew the exact corridor I was coming from despite there being 4-5 routes there, the funny thing that is she pops her ult after she knows am there like oh yeah I forgot to use my ult. and she didn’t use her ult for such a long time too.
I played OW1 for years, there were hackers, but much less, the game was paid so you couldn’t really easily get too many other accounts. but you can notice how much “better” aiming has gotten, casually running into people hitting 75%+ of their shots in QP is not normal when they suck at the game fundamentally. I never seen that in OW1. its not hard to tell
I stopped trying to sneak riptire from behind chokes with junkrat. somehow they always know the exact pixel it will come out of lol. I just get really up close and ult them within a few feat from behind a wall near my team so at least the chaos disguises it

Funny replay, I knew I would find more aimbots in that replay because losers rarely play solo.
Yes, Ashe is blatantly aimboting, but so is widow, just her’s is much more soft,smooth, maybe mixed in with triggerbot. Your 2nd dps is also cheating, triggerbot, autorail etc, is wallhacking all game basically. Their dps duo got smoked in the begining by your cheater and cranked up their cheats. HvH basically, there could be more cheaters, but I did not bother to look. Cheaters usually play with supports so that they can be babysat by them.

lol the Sojourn on my team was 100% not cheating. That there is called spray and pray aim.
What are cheaters playing these days ? I remember it was Widow, McCassidy. Whats the flavor now days of the cheating little men ?

It amazing how the cheats are now a days. It’s like these kids literally info source on ways to be detected and not do those things. They are dedicated to the cheat life style, down to the bones and gaslighting on the forums. Really amazing, and very sad. For them and for us all.

from my experience McCassidy is by far the most common. followed by hanzo funnily enough, probably because its much easier to tell if a soldier is hacking (due to high fire rate you can tell if the aim really sticks) and its also much easier to tell if widow or ashe are hacking because well if you aim down sight its easy to tell due to the speed of the cursor. but I’ve seen a fair few ashe hackers.
I’ve personally deviated from PvP games for this reason. I use to make hacks for people back in the halo 2 days. I honestly think there’s under the radar hacks that will never be discovered even with kernal level. Even pirate software has talked about it
