RQ is 1000x better than open queue lol

I’m so happy for those who wanted this, but I personally disliked it… still, very happy for players who wanted this mode!

I got a game where people naturally went 2-2-2. I saw this and shrugged, “Yeah, surprisingly 2-2-2 was commonly used for competitive, just not so much QP.”

We lost one round and the Moira swapped off to Mei leaving just me to heal. “And there it is.”

Problem with open queue is more than just not having 2-2-2. Even when you have it things can turn bad. Like if one team has 2-2-2 with each player actually belonging to those roles they will likely steam roll the team that is just filling the tank/support roles but don’t regularly play them. In RQ you can usually be sure that the tanks/supports actually want to play tank/support.

I used to hate having to fill as main healer and was often times put in terrible spot where i had to choose between just picking dps and hoping I can carry or playing my weakest role and hoping my team carries me lol

I agree.

I also haven’t gone into it willing to play DPS chicken. Usually teams try a little more at the start when there is someone that takes the charge with a needed role.

However, what I ran into with my first game was a pretty common scenario of Flex players aren’t as common as the forum makes them appear.

Completely agreed. For me personally Open Queue feels like a chaotic, anti - competitive mess, exactly as comp was up to an extent pre - 2/2/2 role - lock…

But I guess some people like this for some reason and it is an interesting change nonetheless due to the possibly really positive impact it may have on the game, so I don’t see anything wrong at the time being in testing such a game mode…

Lol that’s kind of funny though, did it work?

I’ve had a game with 5 healers and 1 tank. The Orissa wouldn’t die, it got so bad we had to get a bastion to shoot her down, even then it was hard.

I read everything you wrote, and its BS.

The reason why its BS has nothing to do with math, and everything to do with the subjective of what a “high quality match” is.

To me, every match where I have 2 tanks, 2 DPS, and 2 supports on both sides is a high quality match. If that is the case for me, then I have a 100% chance in Role Queue for a high quality match, no gambling involved. That cannot be said for non Role Queue AKA Team Death Match.

Can you please tell us WHY its more fun? And why you hate RQ so much?

I know i keep asking, but i’m genuinely interested.

The only problem in open queue is that anyone can pick whatever he wants. We wouldn’t need role queue if we had a different system to force people to flex.

The game I bought is BACK and I’m having fun again. Blizzard must have noticed player dropoff in their analytics and half-undid the foolish decision to force roles and make the game 10x as frustrating.

Nuclear take and hard pill to swallow:
Open queue with an LFG group is 2000x better than forced 222 with RQ.

Main problem? Players are too lazy to search for a group that caters their personal preferences, so yeah, here we are. Cool.

After I played around 12 matches I know why we have forced 222 again. I had ONE game that was kind of balanced for both sides. All other games had leaver, 5 DPS or another kind of weird stuff in it with no real chance to win… this mode is often decided in the selection screen at the beginning… again.

Nah. LFG is only for real tryhards. Why? Because the game will get you into a game with also the same amount of people in a group. LFG 6 stack vs LFG 6 stack is on… but when you encounter a common 6 group of friends… good lord it’s one-sided. The coordination is just on another level and because LFG groups are mostly against common groups (in my experience) its almost a guaranteed loss. There is a reason why the people don’t use LFG.

Thats how the game works buddy, check the Devs posts.
Also you can use LFG for 3-4 stacks and make sure you dont get those “so common” 4-5 DPS matches, so yeah. Nah.

Complaining about the game matching you with a stack of your size is complaining about how the MMR works, not LFG.

Yeah Ive said it: Laziness.
Everything else is just excuses.
Again, it is what it is :man_shrugging:

Yes and no. It is a clunky system and you get not really rewarded for doing it. You also have to find a new group after getting one loss because all people will leave then. Its just not worth using. Like I said: there is a reason why LFG faild.

No, it’s not lol. The only reason it’s “5 DPS insta-lock” is because people are tilted from queue times in 2-2-2, so they come here will play DPS no matter what. Before role queue, you’d have 2-2-2 on its own because people knew it was best, just no one was forced into anything.

I mean, you can, but you’d have to nerf the crap out of supports and tanks.

…I don’t think this person likes to discuss or have a conversation. just rather push their opinions so they (as an individual) don’t get affected with their gameplay experience. I’d suggest not to do it. my profile’s most replied to proves so.

That sounds like a clever comp to me; they deserve that win.

It’s nice that you found your game mode. I have found mine. Is there really a need for denunciation ?

Still get 222 most of time anyway…though I would say 132 is probably just as common

Hell I don’t even mind 141 when it happens…as long as the tank and supports can pull their weight…and I play (and enjoy) all three roles at an equal level anyway so I don’t mind switching around to fit team needs

If you don’t like any of the above then the mode isn’t for you…not sure why everyone comes on here acting as though blizz is forcing them to play it…it’s an optional mode
