Come on, roulette is not the same as map voting. This didn’t have to be complicated.
Is the concern about what maps the community dislike that bad? Like look at sombra bans. There’s no way to argue the majority of players like her now as we have numerical evidence they don’t, it’s just a minority. Are the team worried the same will happen to Push maps?
“Roulette” is the community’s way of making “raffle” sound like some kind of shocking and terrible injustice. I’m not a fan of map-voting either (I think the game is starting to lean too complicated), but comparing the one person who voted for Suravasa getting their ticket drawn to someone loading and spinning a cylinder that’s pointed at your face is a bit of a stretch.
I don’t have much of an opinion about the OP, but there are other kinds of roulettes than Russian.
its funny seeing the complaints about the map voting thing side by side
A) map voting suks because it reduces the map pool and decreases variety
B) “i didnt get what i wanted!!!”
one of those seems a bit more unhinged than the other…
I mean it is annoying when there’s two good maps on the wheel and 1 guy votes for Antarctic Peninsula and you get stuck there but it’s a necessary evil imo like I don’t think I would’ve played a single game of clash all week without the roulette system
actually saw one round of 7 suravasa votes that lost…both funny and HUH!!!
