Why do I see everywhere people talking about role queue like it will remove toxicity and throwers?
Role queue would make the average compositions better, but you have zero reasons to believe the people actually know how to play the role they chose, and it does nothing about toxicity and throwers.
It will only make the throwing worse, people can chose a role like support and don’t pick it, putting you at a disadvantage from the get go.
Role queue won’t make the game any better, there are better solutions (like a lobby to find teammates in-game), and I don’t think they’ll ever implement a role queue for competitive play.

The only issue I forsee is trolls using it as one more way to eff with people by queueing for one role and deliberately choosing something different. Anything to be disruptive.

Also, there are certain heroes that don’t really fit in the category (ex: symmetra). If a sym main choose their preferred spot as a support, then you will end up having one support player.
Yeah, this would be terrible. Also, if you chose a role, and picked other, would that be reportable?
they could make it mandatory you play the role you que up for but that might not work because you won’t always get a 2,2,2 que
Yes absolutely. Would have to be and if I was blizzard I would immediately give a strict warning to the first time it’s abused followed by a temporary ban.
