Really sick of losing because of 6 dps teams
Maybe pick up a support or tank and problem solved?
i mostly play tank and support an damn its hard solo
I play tank, but i’m awful at support.
Yes I wish to have solo Q as well. I guess matches will become less toxic and more interesting to have all 6 playing their wanted role.
Heck even in the overwatch league players has their role and even mostly one tricking … shrug
Pople prefer roles and master this role then trying to be average on all roles.

One has to go 10 heroes down your most played hero list in QP before hitting your first support hero. /rolleyes/
As you mostly play DPS at a 100h to 6h ratio of time playing DPS vs playing support.
Sooooooooo when you lose due to lack of decent support play, on a team of all DPS. You kind of had a team of “you” x6.
Plus going from tank or DPS to support is easy. It’s going the other way that people can’t seem to do. You just need time playing support to get the positional play down.

Just make your own party and impose your draconic rules on it.

That’s neither here nor there. What if 6 healers? or Tanks? Maybe he doesn’t know how to play anything except support, or DPS, or Tank?
You are doing exactly the same because you know that if they have that role select q and the current one all DPS will be stuck waiting for anything else to play with them.
Then what if the others are bad at DPS? they should get better? what if they don’t want to get better? they are called one tricks? so isn’t that a problem for everyone?
Asking everybody to flex is extremely nonviable. When you get a team with 5-6 support mains, which happens WAY more than it should, it’s nearly a certain loss.
Like if you look at ANY sport you rarely have interchangeable roles right? Even in Esports you NEVER really see people in roles flexing in competitive play.
For example you don’t have many goalkeepers in football/soccer playing a forward position randomly? Or in League of Legends you don’t get your support to randomly change to top lane or jungle mid tournament?
Some players like to specialise in a certain role for whatever reasons they have, they might not find other roles enjoyable. Why force it so hard?
Role-select NEEDS to happen, for the sake of a fair/balanced competitive environment.
Yeah, I main tanks. It would be nice to have team comps limited to 3 heroes per category or some form of preference queue to try and put people into roles they are comfortable with.
Then learn…? It is here and there if 6 support mains get into a game but have also been practicing tanking then problem solved.
I don’t agree that role-select needs to happen, Jeff has gone over reason why that system wouldn’t really work, i suggest watching his reasons and maybe you will see the downside to that system.
Overwatch is unique with the adapting on the fly aspect so can’t be compared to other sports or Esports because it’s a fallacy of composition/division.

I’d still rather sacrifice some flexibility for a team comp to gain a more competitive environment. At the moment a pretty decent portion of games are won/lost based on too many of 1 role on a team - Also the amount of drama over picks making teams degenerate into locking 5 DPS etc is unreal.
I think a clan system would go a long way to combat the problem, something to do in the lobby, there are ways to prefer players and add to a group up but at large the community doesn’t use the current options across all ranks.
WoW and LoL have role queues and the queue times are awful, so i’m not too sure making someone wait 3x longer to play a role is going to make them more likely to cooperate.

See no one adapts. That’s the problem. The pros of role q outweigh the cons. Everyone would rather have a reliable team comp every game then four dps one healer one tank. Don’t even say four dps can work. That is the most illogical argument for it. A team with four dps will get steamrolled ninty percent of the time by two two two. Why? Your one tank will get destroyed by the other two the other two healers will out heal your one and the dps will be left and without space will get destroyed in a six vs 4. This is about the community and the players don’t play the game how it is supposed to be played.
