This mode isn’t designed for players who “do what they want”
please have 2-2-2 role queue for 6v6 please.
Tired of games with 4 healers or something stupid. This doesn’t promote good games.

I’d rather wait in a 10 minute dps queue than get stomped as a solo tank literally every time vs a 2-2-2. Open queue is dumb af, no 6v6er wanted this.

OQ has its own fans, and thus Blizz also wants to provide one OQ mode. But then, OQ requires its own balance. In theory, a tank, a support and a dps all should have the same value in OQ. But OW was not so even in OQ era, and gave up such balance policy completely since RQ was introduced, and the disparity between the roles is even harder in OW2. The current slight modification for OQ doesn’t work imo.
The best solution would be that they support an independent OQ balance well enough, but it seems they don’t want to. Then, it might be better to remove OQ and place both RQ 122 and 222.

Agreed.
Its too common to have triple support with 1 tank. While triple support can work, plenty of smooth brain players lock a combination of Mercy/Lifeweaver + 3rd support which is terrible.

dps has healing reduction
and damage > healing
when will these players learn.
Can’t because queue times won’t allow it. 20 minute queues for DPS and Support kill that mode overnight.
If what you want is RQ 5v5 is the only mode that can sustain it.

It’s not a population problem. It’s a ratio problem. The game could have 100x its population but RQ 6v6 still will have the same queue times.

Killable tanks are a deal-breaker for me.
Whether it’s RQ or OQ doesn’t matter as much to me.
I do like the instant queues, though.

That’s why I do not play tank. I just kill them.

I don’t think 6v6 works at all with RQ. It has to be either open queue or use some kind of loose role limits for it to make sense.
2/2/2 RQ didn’t work in OW1 for the same reason it won’t now; there’s no situation where there are enough tank-specific players to make quick or fair matches.
Woa! That took a turn. I disagree. Open Queue has a lot of adherents to simply be tossed out of the equation like that.
It’s not the same game, its better
2-2-2 is the current design that is most balanced. That said, I like OQ since you jump in and pick up a role, I don’t like that there can be 4 healers or something stupid like that. Its frustrating that we are so close to having the best mode that is even far superior to the 5v5 role queue.

It really isn’t that hard - however if the main purpose is to make money then this game will never be great. Profits > all
Try Max 2 Tanks Comp instead of QP, OP. The usual composition is 2-2-2 over there, with some 2-1-3 sprinkled in.
Solo tanking’s a Max 2 Tanks QP problem, in my experience.
