Role queue is broken in my opinion. How I and a lot of other used to rank up was by filling for the weakest link. If someone wasn’t doing too hot as heals and preferred dps I would let them go dps. Now with role queue, it’s just not possible. In my opinion, a good fix would be to add the option to change roles with another player mid-game via an in-game button either in the dropdown menu or elsewhere. To avoid SR manipulation, give the player a certain amount of SR depending on the % of time played in each role.
The way this mechanic would work is instantly killing the two switching players once they are out of combat for x amount of seconds. I wouldn’t know where to start but PTR testing or internal testing would be a good place to work it out. With this, flexing comes back as well as flex players and it would only improve the quality of games as it reduces the number of times teammates get tilted over “I can do this role better” and other statements along that line. After all, if you can do this role better, why don’t you? It wouldn’t hurt to try <3
