Overall, I like roleq. But there is one thing that needs to change: being matched with lower tier players while in non-DPS roles. DPS can carry. A healer can maybe carry, a tank can maybe carry. When I queue as a tank or support to get that sweet queue bonus, I don’t want to be put on a team with plat DPS while I’m at 3200 rating myself. There’s a fairly large difference between someone who stays stable at 3200 and someone who flutters at 2800-2900. The plat DPS consistently lose games. DPS must always be at least as good as their tanks or supports.
It’s not reasonable to tell me that my role queue experience is a choice between waiting longer and being able to carry, and not waiting but being held back by lower skill players. Not.ok. And if the hidden MMR is what’s doing this, then publish the hidden MMR. If my SR is meaningless, then give me something with meaning. Comp is only a competition if there’s some metric to understand where I stand in the ranks. If those plats are actually as good as me:
- Why do we almost always lose?
- Why are they not in diamond themselves?
