But it is happening, in the actual games in the ptr. Surprisingly, the 0.0000001% of the playerbase in OWL is not everyone

I dont know why people thought this would magically fix things. All this does is stop GOATs. Their bad balance will forever taint the game.

It could bring more variety if there was more than one viable comp in pro play.
It does pertain to the topic at hand. People claimed there would be a greater variety of compositions in OWL and, so far, no dice. It will stay that way too because there will still be a meta, as always.

I was pretty confident that when GOATS died, we’d be at double sniper.
I haven’t been able to watch OWL today. Is it double sniper?

I was actually fairly okah with what I saw this evening with the rollout.
I was happy to see Junkrat, Reaper, Mei, McCree all make appearances. It bought a nice bit of spice to the mix.
What brought it down was the Hanzo-Widow, which is the combo I knew was going to become prevalent the instant Role Lock was announced as 2-2-2. The rounds where it wasn’t really present were a lot more enjoyable to watch.
The ability to one-shot 85% of the roster will trump every other DPS almost every time. It really needs to be changed, honestly. Just like GOATs, I’m not interested in seeing the same two characters cemented in the DPS role.
I don’t know what the change needs to be, but something has to give on snipers in this game, it really does. Hopefully, Blizzard has an adjustment or two planned we haven’t seen.

But yes, double sniper and bunker for the most part. Orisa on every team.

It makes sense. Goats became an issue to counter double sniper. Doing nothing about it while making goats impossible to play? Of course double sniper would come back.
