As losing team on robot push map on OT, is it possible to touch robot to avoid C9 and at the same time stay a distance so the robot stays still instead of running forward?
My soldier went to stay with robot and the robot ran away so he kept chasing robot and left team fight as a result
no - in overtime you HAVE to stay on the objective no matter what.
the only way the robot would hold still is if some one on the other team is also on the objective so the robot just stands there till 1 of them wins.
Thanks! that’s what i thought but wanted to confirm as my friend kept saying just stand still and the robot won’t move and no C9. As far as i know if robot move we don’t follow it will be registered as C9.
you could mess with the over time wick though (the flame that represents overtime). you could stop off the bot -just- long enough for the flame to trickle down (it happens fast so you’d have to be super careful) which will make the bot stop running for a brief moment, then get back on the bot before the flame burns all the way down…
I suppose you could do that a few times to stop the bot from running full speed.
No, but actually yes. The robot will move as soon you touch it so the answer is no. But you still have the same overtime mechanic as the rest of the game so you can leave it and it will take 5s* before the OT runs out. So you can stutter step the robot and effectively make it stand still.
*goes down to 3s after 20s and 1.5s after 30.
If you have pushed further then other team then go into OT stop pushing walk away and game with finish with the win. If your down and need to push further stick to it like glue till past the point then stop pushing it for win
In overtime, if you are winning (have the lead) then the robot will stop even if your team is still pushing it.
The only time you need to stop pushing it on purpose is if there is like 5 seconds left before overtime. And you want to make it harder for the other team to reach the bot and trigger OT.
