a tank should not be able to one shot most of the roster. either drop his health and make him DPS or take that damn hook away from him

He is nothing like a DPS and without hook combo he is trash (source: years of him not having hook combo and being trash). Although he has hook combo right now and is still pretty bad so even then its a simple matter of just not getting hooked.

Imagine a layman telling the paid professionals what a tank should or shouldn’t do because they got outplayed.
Counterpoint: overcome and adapt. Utilize the 30+ hero roster, the ability to switch heroes on the fly, teamwork and communication, cooldown management, game sense, aim, or whatever to gain the advantage.
Hog’s hook is fine. Maybe Hog isn’t the problem, I wonder?

Play corners? If you play properly, you will break almost every one of roadhog’s hooks. If you’re consistently getting hooked, you’re consistently out of position.

It is how he tanks, via his threat level. Simililar to how tanks would use Aggro in the WoW games. His threat level is suppose to make you back away or draw in a lot of the enemy team fire trying to kill ​him. Aside from that body blocking accounts for only a very small portion of his tanking tool kit.

not a fair comparison. REZ has 30 sec CD while hook is 8 seconds. also keep in mind he has insta heal to full health on a short CD with that.
i dont like hook but he needs his hook to actually be viable, but he’s still a throw pick even with hook…but you shouldnt take away an ability just because another hero did

For the love of god…The developers should NOT listen to players who cant use a hero properly,who dont understand how they work or to their fullest potential.
