Roadhog's hook bug list

Here’s the list of issues that I have seen on Roadhog after playing more than 170 hours on him.
Most of them have something to do with his hook and some specific places on some maps.
PD: Some of them may not be bugs, please correct me if they are intended and i’ll delete them.

1.- Hook not pulling correctly in some locations.

2.- Enemy goes to one side of the hook.

3.- If you hook someone from above them, the enemy will land on top of you after touching ground.

4.- Hooking a Genji mid dash gets him behind or on one side of you.

  • 4.3: https://gfycat.com/BlushingAcclaimedGull (Sometimes it works “as it should be” and even when it does, the animation is too slow for you to shoot effectively at Genji.)

5.- Landing a hook right before Mei gets in her ice block can result in Hog getting her out of it.

6.- Tracer can blink while hooked

    when I was playing it showed like I hooked the Tracer and the highlight didn’t save it.)

From here and on, these are bugs that were very specific cases.

7.- Hooking below an enemy when you can barely see it

8.- Hooking a Sombra when she’s about to use her translocator sometimes result in the teleport effect appearing and Hog getting the kill

9.- Hooking a Doomfist mid Upper cut cancels hook

  •  9.1: https://gfycat.com/MerryBackGuillemot (I'm not sure about this one, the hook cancels because of Upper cut ability's momentum,  
    not normal movement momentum, so I don't know if it's intended. The bridge doesn't look like it has anything to do with it.)  
    

10.- Hooks cancels for no apparent reason (very specific case)

           it may be related to the old Doomfist bug where his Seismic Slam canceled after using it on the payload.)  
    

11.- Tracer can get hooked after doing a blink

When reading your description of 2.1, it didn’t make sense. So I looked closer. It’s not Winston’s shield, your rocket punching Doomfist that blocked the enemy Doomfist’s path.

The bug makes perfect sense in what happens, enemies don’t go through enemies unless using movement ability of their own.

And there is people out there saying he feels good to play with/against

I tried to post in r/COW but rule 5 doesn’t allow bug reports :confused:

I have also noticed that sometimes Roadhog can use his hook to pull characters through short walls or obstacles, which can be frustrating.

They can take a while to get to things they don’t deem as vital. Torb had a bug where when he ulted, if Torb threw out armor, he was locked out of shooting for like 2s, but they did nothing about it for years and didn’t even report on it when they fixed it.

Hopefully they end up fixing him, I play hog a lot and it’s frustrating every time any of these happen, there’s been some hook bugs in OWL which might mean they will check him faster
