I gotta disagree, though I’ll concede that, without some set-up from your team, you’re likely to not get much value from it. It does an obscene amount of damage, though, and you can pretty easily pin two or three enemies up against a wall and just melt them. Also obviously shove people off points, that’s really nice on maps with some environmental hazards.
I would consider Barrage, Deadeye, and Photon Barrier to be markedly worse

I use it to destroy Rein as well. Or put someone in a corner and kill them. Hammond getting trapped in a corner is super easy as his ball form puts him at a disadvantage.
Whole Hog can also kill someone through a Transcendence if you’re aiming at the enemy’s head such as an Orisa.
Very good against Winston as well. Basically any tanks can take punishment from it.
I use on 200-250 health heroes as well but only if I need to kill them quickly or push the back so they can’t touch point.

Junkrat has the worst ult in the game. Long cast time, 99.9% chance to be hunted down and killed, and the slow tire is fragile af. If you manage to get Junk’s rip-tire off, you’re better off just turning around and using it on the inevitable Mcree, Tracer, or Reaper that is drawn to your body like a magnet when you yell “Fire in the hole!” than trying to send it into a group of enemies. At least Hog’s ult can save him in a clutch situation. Bob? A comparatively indestructible 10-second Dva bomb.

god no, cant agree its the worst ult, dont think its OP either though
whole hog used to be the worst ult in the game but the buff really helped it, usually per use i get 2 elims with it, still easy to shut down but much safer than it used to be and actually pretty fun to use imo
old whole hog was complete garbage but new whole hog is a lot better
also using whole hog is more likely to get you killed than save you but its still a goodish ult when used at full health but can be cancelled easily

It’s pretty useful in specific situations. Not all the Heroes can have ults like Zen or Rein, you know…
Consider, for a moment, how much more useful Road’s ult is on Ilios than Rein’s, especially in two areas of that map (ones closest to environmental kills).
If you want to see a more useless ult, consider Pharah, who very rarely gets to finish it, and who doesn’t even get to do much with it if enemy team has at least a decent Widow.

Roadhog is my most played hero out of all seasons, 2nd most played in this season, and I’m GM+.
His ultimate is good, especially with the new changes. You can burst down tanks a lot easier and get an easy kill, or if your Rein has shatter, then you can break their Rein shield so your Rein can get a good shatter off.
His ultimate charges extremely fast too, and that’s one of the reasons why his ult is so great.
But I see why you think his ult isn’t very good, it was made to not be so impactful for a very reason. You never picked Roadhog for his Whole Hog, you always picked Roadhog for his insanely high pick-potential. His base kit is where most of the power is at, so that’s the reason why Whole Hog isn’t as impactful as you might want it to be.

It’s not the worst, but it’s not a game changer ultimate. It’s a really good way to kill most tanks or getting them out of the way doe.
Really underestimating the power of Whole Hog nearby void and corners.
I can disagree. I’m a Junk main. You need to position yourself correctly and if you can make it fly toward enemies on point and blow it up quickly.
