Roadhog has NEVER "one-shot" a player EVER!

A lot of people have been spreading lies saying that roadhog is “overpowered” because he “one-shots” players. Guess what, he literally can not one shot ANYONE.

When he hooks someone the hook only does 30hp. Anyone that has at least finished primary school in maths should know that EVEN IF you have 200hp:

200 - 30 = 150hp remaining

Therefore you were not one-shot. Period. Roadhog is one of the weakest tanks in the game and people need to stop pretending that he needs to be nerfed. If anything, they should increase hook damage to 100 damage so that hook actually does something.

You can actually one shot someone with right click if done perfectly. 200 HP chars.

because u can escape the hook real easy once u get hooked right?

its not like it makes escape impossible and then brings him to you to do max damage with his right click witch does one shot 200 hp heroes such as nearly all dps

This is the reason why calling his combo a “one shot” is confusing. When people say “I keep getting hit by hog”, I respond with “you’re lying. You have to be kissing his shotgun to be one shot by it.”. And then they say “Nuh Uh, when he hooks you, shoots you, and then melees you, that’s a one shot!”.

well if you want to be all technical, hooking a player into a pit is a 1 shot does not matter how big the HP is either. so yeah he can 1 shot

One of my sickest play was me whiffing a hook on a Junkrat, but then I one shot him with alt fire and his buddy Zen tried to help him, so I one shot him too.

My first and only ever double one shot. I felt like such a G.

This. So many times I’m like 10 feet away from Hog and RIGHT CLICK GET DELETED at full health.

OP has never played this game long enough. Happened more times than I cared to admit in OW1.

It’s only confusing if you’re trying to make it confusing

We all know what everyone means when they say one shot, even if it’s not literally a single shot. Rein’s charge isn’t a one shot because it’s two things that need to happen, but are we really gonna nitpick it to pieces? No, because we understand what we’re talking about in context.

I mean sure you’re correct but is that something you really have to correct people about? The difference between a one shot and a combo that kills you in less than a second, it’s just kinda lame and makes you sound like a smart -redacted-
