i have always been supportive of mercy mains, i think mercy is great, but there are so many characters who are in a far worse place and have been for a long time, just saying

Mercy was OP while Hog was in the gutter, the devs have constantly been trying to balance her. I’m not saying she’s in a good spot but at least she’s been getting attention. There is nothing wrong with threads about Mercy, but it’s rude to go off-topic on other threads just for attention. All you’re doing is making Mercy players look petty and that’s not good for anyone.

She’s been getting nerfed. Before his last “bug fix,” Hog hadn’t been touched in over a year. Mercy players have been giving feedback and it’s been ignored the whole time. I wouldn’t exactly call that “attention.”
It is, but that’s not quite the fault of only Mercy players.

That’s right, Roadhog has been in the gutter for OVER A YEAR, imagine if they leave Mercy as she is now for that amount of time. Back then Roadhog players were making thread after thread about how bad he was. Can you see why we have a problem now? I don’t go into Bastion threads and start making a fuss.
Like it or not you are representing Mercy players when you make posts like this.

Just because other heroes have been F tier for a long time doesn’t justify other heroes becoming F tier and it being OK.
No hero should be in F tier, all should be somewhat viable, especially Hog players should understand the frustration of Mercy mains atm. She’s only really playable in QP, forget her in comp, even in gold where people have potato aim, Ana is better.
It’s not the Mercy players fault for Hog being unplayable (except on Illios and Nepal), it’s Blizzards. The Mercy players have all rights to complain about her current state. Yes some few take it over the top and create many useless threads and hijack other, but if you look closely, it’s always the same few.
Nobody says that Hog, Reaper and Bastion don’t deserve attention before Mercy, they certainly do and nobody will disagree. But the rate the balance changes come is far too slow. Why not hit the PTR with a few different buffs for all underperforming heroes and see how it plays out? How about using the PTR to actually test a lot of changes, like it’s intended to? Noo that’s too much to ask. Instead we waited over 1 year for a Symm rework which utterly failed because the devs don’t listen to the playerbase. Torbs rework took whooping 6 months to follow. While Torb being actually successful, the rework took way too long!
It’s no excuse on Blizzards side for leaving so many heroes in F-tier for so long. They have the capacity to balance faster, they just don’t do it. I guess they are a small indie company after all.

Standing at the top of the gutter is better than slowly getting ground into the muck patch after patch after patch after patch after patch after patch after patch, and having every word of feedback be ignored.
For the record, Mercy players don’t go into Bastion threads either.
I’m not going to justify the actions of other players. But it is not only Mercy mains who derail conversations. Someone will inevitably say something about Mercy, and that’s when it devolves.

mercy isnt even that bad tbh there are multiple heroes worse and multiple ults worse than valk. Hopefully the roadhog changes on ptr help.
