Rigged games are obvious

Blizzard does not even try to hide that their matchmaking is rigged. At least 8 out of 10 games are roll or get rolled. I don’t expect matches to come down to the final fight, but there’s no reason that most competitive games should be decided as soon as the teams are picked.

There is simply no way that a lot of these teams are truly the same skill level when games are over from the start. Maybe it’s time to start factoring in performance into ranks instead of only wins and losses.

Worked in OW1. Performance based SR until you hit Masters (or diamond, I forget which), then it was sink or swim.

Obviously the current system has not worked out whatsoever. Granted, the old performance based SR let one tricks artificially boost their gains, but I don’t know, seems like a fine tradeoff at this point.

They just don’t care anymore. Their only concern with the matchmaking is not having long queue times, so they gather players from vastly different skill levels.

It’s not rigged.

You need to get better and make plays yourself instead of waiting for someone else to win for you.

I’m sure it was diamond. That’s when rank decay kicked in OW1 at least. That’s something I don’t miss having to deal with.

Even then they kinda mess that up from time to time. Like queuing for 8 to 12 minutes only to be backfilled into a lost game.

Just stop. One match is like fishing with dynamite and the next match my team can’t even function.

OW1 wasn’t like this because there was actual queue waits to ensure balanced teams. Even pro players have said the matchmaking here is bad.

I’m M1 on DPS and D4 on tank. At lower ranks you can hard carry. At higher ranks you actually need help from your team.

You know they still have decay in this? If you don’t play for some time, your MMR will still decay. It was a point of confusion after Blizzard said, “Hey we’re removing decay before each season!” But they meant only the artificial soft reset they tried to pull in season 1 or 2 of OW2.

But they didn’t remove the inactive account decay. Hard to keep track of all the nonsense.

I think it’s silly to believe games are actually rigged

Just stop, its embarrassing calling games rigged with no proof. Instead making silly allegations, work on your own game and improve. You’re exactly the rank you deserve.

The matchmaking isn’t rigged, it’s just awful.

‘Rigged matchmaking’ implies there is some finesse, some grand scheme, some competence behind the matches we’re all seeing.

That is giving this matchmaker way too much credit.

lmao , you can create a new account , win few games and be gm even if you’re silver on your main but yeah " you’re where you belong to be "+ matchmaking try to force you to have 50% winrate + check your game history , on 10 games you’ll have maybe 7-8 wins in a row and the next 10 games that will be the opposite. but yeah no rigged at all .

Casuals don’t want to hear this but the game isn’t rigged, the game is just snowball-y by it’s nature. Literally all it takes is a few misplays to throw the entire fight and give the enemy team momentum to snowball you. But it works both ways, the game isn’t rigged, the matchmaker isn’t forcing you to get steamrolled, you just need to get better and make bigger plays than the opponents are making.

Yeah, the reason we know it isn’t rigged is because this dev team is so incompetent that if they tried to rig it they’d accidentally give us balanced matchmaking.

Silver players cannot create new accounts and “just win a few games to reach GM”. You’re a clueless clown.

you’re where you belong to be "+ matchmaking try to force you to have 50% winrate + check your game history

Learn to form a coherent sentence. From what I can surmise from this babble, you’re trying to express that your win rate is artificially manipulated to be at 50%?

That’s not a conspiracy buddy, your w/r is 50% because you’re at the rank you deserve. The matchmaking works.

on 10 games you’ll have maybe 7-8 wins in a row and the next 10 games that will be the opposite. but yeah no rigged at all .

Its called variance, just because your average win rate is 50%, it doesn’t mean that the distribution of wins and losses will be exactly 50% for every sample of 10 games. Kids these days are so dumb.

Odd because I have consistently over the past year had 1 in 10 comp games be a stomp one way or the other. This has been true across my entire friends list as well because it comes up enough. So either you are redefining what you consider a stomp or you having the equivalent luck of winning 2 straight lottery drawings.

Blame those who have spent money on the MTX. They’re such a plague on everyone that enables this type of behavior from the devs

Bad matchmaking isn’t rigging.

The ironic thing to actually rig a game based on players’ skill it would need good matchmaking.

It’s been all but confirmed that the matchmaking is rigged, actually. Blizzard hasn’t said so themselves, but everyone coming to the same conclusion essentially proved everyone’s suspicions.

If you play well, you’ll be paired with people way below your skill level to keep you in check. Their wording would be “to balance the teams”. But all it does is force you to try harder and play longer to rank up.

Everyone do not come to the same conclusion. There are just a lot of dumb people in every gaming community who say dumb sh!t. Dota and LOL’s version of this is the ‘elo hell’ cope.

No you don’t, you get paired with people near your skill level. This is just cope for hardstuck losers.

Nope. Just confirmed it again. One of the DPS on my team, a Junkrat, got over doubled by the enemy team’s DPS. I was the better Tank. But I wasn’t able to make up the canyon. It’s like this almost every game. It’s very rare that games are actually balanced.
