Hello, I’v been thinking of some cool ideas for Roadhog if the overwatch team ever wanted to rework the big guy.
I had this idea for his hook and maybe his scrap gun and changes that could possibly make Roadhog kind of a team player instead of a solo assassin.
For the hook I’d recommend this.
Wind up time, During this period Roadhog will wind his hook and prepare to snag someone out from the enemy team.
The longer he winds it up the more damage and range he will gain.
Instant hooks will not do much damage or gain very much range.
And i’m throwing this one out these but maybe allow him to hook teammates to save them with a seperate ability with a seperate cooldown.
Kind of like how stitches can in hots.
As for the scrap gun.
I’d say make it have only 2 shots but increase the amount of bullet/pellets or scrap come out. atleast like 30% more.
The right click doesn’t feel very good with me. I’v gotten alot of kills with it but it feels kind of clunky.
I’d say replace the right-click with the hook ability
As for a new passive I’d give him something for the lack of range is give him something like iron clad when He’s near teammates. 25% damage reduction when near teammates. Or maybe something that can benefit when sticking together. This game is all about teamwork. So something can possibly be made to help out when taking away Right click.
I have no real ideas for his take a breather ability nor his ultimate.
I really love this hero and I’m sure alot of people do as well.
But i feel like he’s kind of a weird place when he cannot insta-gib people.
These changes will possibly make Roadhogs stick with the team and not roam around trying to kill healers and flank.
These are just some ideas and I’d really like to hear feedback.
