Her being a DPS will DESTRRRRROY queue times.
If she is a support that can fly and give shields im pretty sure nobody would complain

No one said shes a bad hero people are just asking for a rework, also damage heroes are plenty and way more then tanks/healers
Infact if you select all three categories and queue for a game 98% of the time you’ll get chosen for a tank role if you’re lucky its a healer (15% chance) and its like 5% chance to get a dps and when you do its usually a person who left a losing game or throwing

Wasnt late when they completely reworked torb after people were use to him
Rework: move her ult to a 10 second cooldown ability so we dont have to spend the whole game just to copy people
New ability would allow the player to constantly being able to copy gives players the chance to strategise on gameplay continuously making it fun
This is 5 months old, there are no plans to rework Echo.
While we do need more support heroes, I feel like Echo’s place is in the dps role.
There are 3 main playstyles of dive,brawl and stationary.
but there are also 3 hybrid playstyles:
kite,trap and flank.
Kite is all about attacking the enemies from different angels without getting too close- and by having both echo & pharah in that role we’re a step closer for this playstyle to be a possible full team composition.
on the support class we’ve got mercy and Zenyatta works pretty fine with that composition.
But except for Echo and Pharah we don’t really have any solution…
So while we do need more support heroes and a new shields support can be awesome personally I think echo is needed as a dps.

She is one of the most fun DPS in the game, if not the most fun.
Support the concept of Healer Symmetra instead. Get this garbage Damage hero back where she belongs, as a viable Healer that can blossom instead of being a meme for 4 years straight.

Although I want more supports, Echo needs to be left where she is in the DPS category. She is an cool hero with a lot of depth and is both interesting and difficult to learn.
I’m critical of some of Blizzards decisions with regard to the unbalanced hero roster. We need more tanks and supports urgently. But with regard to designing Echo they did an extremely good job as her playstyle is unlike any of the other DPS. She deserves appreciation rather than a rework.
