Reward for playing tank or support change

As it currently is it seems the reward is 1 lootbox and after you receive it until the next day the reward become 25 gold coins for the skins. Maybe this should be made into something a bit more enticing, like maybe 15 competitive points - this way if you win you get 30 competitive points instead of the regular 15. Also this way, even if you lose you still get competitive points for playing the role no one else seems to want. Aside from diminishing the effort previous players may have put into their golden gun collection, whats the downside of this idea?

As a support/offtank player, this would be awesome to me as well BUT, lets be honest, its not fair to DPS players. This game has all 3 roles with a reason, yes, majority wants to play dps heroes cause they are cool but thats legit decision that they can make, no need to punish them that much for that :wink:

life aint fair
playing tank/support is a chore most of the time
dps players dont have to worry about 101 different things at a time just to find mediocre success

It’s not a punishment to DPS mains, it’s an incentive to everyone to play the roles that are needed most. The people that play those roles are rewarded directly with the incentive items, and the people queuing for Damage-only are rewarded indirectly with shorter queue times.

Everyone wins.

But guys, now with a role queue, its guaranteed that you will have 2 tanks and 2 supports in each game, problem is already solved by Blizzard (finally) so this credits we are getting is just an extra. Be greatful on that, no need to ask for more imo… :slight_smile:

There are other things that are more urgent. Besides this new bug that kept role queue not happening still (Not planned MMR reset), one of the biggest problem rn are smurfs. I think that increasing lvl needed for competitive can solve the problem, just a bit at least… Those who are buying new accounts, alt accounts, to try other roles without screwing up SR can do it now in role queue without any bad consequences cause main role will still be there where it should be and if you really want new acc, again alt account , playing more QP before will just benefit where you can learn the role you like to try… On the other hand, smurfland will suffer cause lot of people will quit off idea to smuf if they need to play ton of QP/Arcades first (ie increasing from 25 to 50 or even more). But yeah, developers can solve technical stuff, buffs/nerfs, balaning, glitches etc but none can fix the community. Its just us, humans, its how we work :stuck_out_tongue: Just as now, we got free credits and now we want free competitve points… Nah…

well the point is an incentive to play an undesirable role, my thought was to replace the 25 gold credits with the competitive points not gain both, i don’t care about credits. What i do care about are competitive points and it would get me to play tank every game instead of dps everygame which would balance queue times for the undesired roles (the purpose of the incentive in the first place)

my question to you now was also in my original post - what are the downsides to my suggestion?

if someone thinks that is a punish instead a motivation to play support ot tanks…maybe its a good incentive. After all the game need more players playing tanks.

Yes but then many people will play tanks even if they are not tank mains and that will screw up comp even more… :stuck_out_tongue: :slight_smile:

“Fair” in this context, especially we are talking about in-game credits, isn’t important at all.
This also is beneficial to DPS players, as the Q-time should be shorter for them
