I remember when they had upped the penalties, right afterwards we had a weird bug where backfills stopped working. Mostly at night.
I think they have two systems in place, though i cannot prove it.
- Prioritizes leavers for backfills.
- There is a separate MMR for people who leave games frequently.
Which is why I think the bug occurred. It was trying to backfill leavers into non-leavers matches but because of a leavers queue it would not allow for it.
I rarely ever leave a game and most of the time that I do it isnât voluntary. An ISP issue or a loss of power. Which those are rare too.
My games might see one leaver every couple matches and I rarely ever end up backfilling.

It would be the best solution. Sow backfills. Reap backfills. With penalties of course.

They should fix leavers with changes to the actual reason why people leave and not just be lazy with more punsishments. When have harsher punishments ever had better outcomes?
The reason people leave most of the time is they hate losing. It is almost always after they die or a team fight is lost.
It is almost never the winning team who has leavers.
So what is the proposed solution to this? Put leavers in bot lobbies?

Theres no way for a dev to fix players mentality. Vast majority of leavers are just ppl who cant handle loses.
I mean overwatch is literally an example. The only ppl who think the harsher penalty is bad are the habitual leavers themselves because it literally doesnt affect the rest of us. If anything it just got better better because we backfill drastically less and see way less leavers in a match.
Ideally i would wish leavers get put into a leaver pool so they can only ever match with other leavers and require a very steep/harsh amount of games completed to get out of that pool. It would just be funnier that way when they come to forums and rage.

It should be stricter. A leaver already means the match balance is dead.

throwers dont get banned ive seen the same thrower and even sometimes hackers in other matches and the hardwaare issue is out of my control acer nitro 5 line is known for its issues with one of them being the ram slots

Put leavers in a backfill only queue. As a person who abides by the rules you will never be in a backfill unless they absolutely have 0 leavers which is what we want right?
no at this rate the way thigns are going at the end of this season they should in reality just scrap the game liek match makign is straight up garbage with this eomm crud aaron acts liek he knows what he is doign but dher doesnt kn wo what he is doign honestly if me and rthe ceo could of switched places when she was borught in day 1 would be the firing of aaron

Both of those systems are currently working together, and they are currently the bane of the game that need to be removed.
sbmm doesnt exist in the game itws eomm now
