Since the winter wonderland event started I’ve watched in my own kill cam mcree fan the hammer (fth) roll flashbang fth again then melee to kill roadhog without him being able to react in time to stop it at all. That’s 600hp down the drain in a flash i was shocked then the mercy on the enemy team and the ana pocketed the world ut of him allowing him to murder my entire team with effort the their other dps switched to brig to keep us stunned to the point that the match was a crap show and completely unfun. I’m assuming he saw the same yt vid i watched of a streamer LITERALLY ONLY fth-ing and killing the entire enemy team he might as well be renamed as mcfanthehammer bc that is literally all any mcree is doing now since its dmg outlut is disgusting.
That sounds crazy to witness.
I was horrified like thats something you expect from a reaper dmg wise not mcree… We need a support that cleanses cc’s and makes allies immune to them for a duration

I’ve done right click only games before the buff. The buff changes nothing except vs bastion. It’s an all or nothing ability on a squishy with fall off and barely any mobility
Pre buff I could delete 250 and below already so this isn’t something new.
Keyword 250 hp and below this was a ROADHOG aka mr 600 hp can only be oneshot by a dva bomb if take a breather is down. And he killed him with no problem.
Take a breather or just hook mccree and one shot him yourself. The current true combo: flash->fth–>melee does 385. It can’t one shot ANY tank. The stun window(.7 sec) is only big enough for one fth
I don’t fan the hammer much as Mcree but I believe this to be true. I play a good amount of Mcree
The tank killing combo is fth>roll>flash>fth>melee I’ve literally watched it happen while i struggle to keep my tank alive (which doesn’t happen) i fully healed my rein turned to heal my zarya to turn back to my rein at 50 hp holding a shield begging for help bc mcree almost killed him
That’s not a combo. That’s with damage already on the tank from the first fth. Which takes over a second to channel, roll and throw your flashbang. At which point if the tank isn’t with healers to mitigate or simply reacted to the initial damage they frankly deserved to lose that fight.
For a true stun combo the max damage is 385. Which involves a low mobility, 200 HP hero, with a head hitbox bigger than reinhartd’s to get in range of you.
You do realize a combo is the linking or chaining of multiple moves or abilities in a row that prevents your opponent from stopping you. Like brigs old shield bash melee mace combo that killed tracers. . that is a combo

Few days ago forums were saying how bad cree is now due to 10dmg buff he is suddenly the God of dps.

I’ve never thought was bad and back when rez was an ult he was the immediate pre or post counter to it considering by the time everyone regained control he was locked in to kill. This buff is literally ridiculous for an alt e hes putting out 330 with just his fth the closest dmg you have to that on an aly fire is zens volley putting out 230 and it has a charging time. It just seems to me that when ot comes to buffs that drastically change what you can do in game dps heroes get that the most KEYWORDS “WHEN IT COMES TO BUFFS”
Within the stun. You can only do 385 damage. The first fth you mentioned followed by the roll are completely reactable and stoppable, it’s not a combo unless brigs 3x mace before sheild bash is considered one as well to you.
Every tank has options vs this: Barriers,fortify,take a breather/hook, primal rage,charge, DM, zarya bubble after first damage intake or holding down the button in stun.
It’s 60 extra damage in the best case senario’s, nothing’s changed

He was so powerfull on the initial release of OW, that his full FtH damage potential was 562 for 1 FtH. The buffing department of Blizzard is a pathway to many abilities some consider unnatural.
But it didnt end that well. Jeff saw the growing power of FtH and nerfed Mcree, so he lost his power.
Ironic, he had the power of instakilling everyone, but was killed himself.
the 10+ damage is good for Mcree, so FtH atleast can be useful.
yea i was watching ppl do that on yt. he got 47 elims and 44 of them were fth
pre-patch McCree’s place in the game was severely questionable. Everyone does his job better; Ashe, Hanzo, Widow.
If you let a McCree close enough to combo FTH it’s your fault. He’s easy enough to kill, FB is easy to bait out and a reminder Hog can one hit kill with his hook again so this buff is the ONLY way McCree can escape the encounter (also relies on him hitting all the FTH bullets)
Maybe this’ll be the thing to deal with GOATS finally.
With the buff it does a whopping 60 damage more if all six shots are fired and hit.

As long as Storm Arrows exists, Fan the Hammer has every right to be buffed.
