Revert character comm system immediately

Blizzard, BLIZZARD.

You literally revamped the “unlocked voice line” system so players would not be “distracted” during gameplay, and now each time a player changes character in spawn or becomes on-fire, you have the character announce it over the character comms? You realize those play at full volume, unlike unlockable voice lines which are played at volumes in respectable distances to the character. On top of that, you have added strange reverb to the voice lines?

This is absolutely a distraction change and needs to be reverted as soon as possible.

EDIT: It’s also doing this for ultimate lines and even “Hello”, WHY?! This is absolutely an example of why PTR needs to come back.

EDIT: Listing threads which also have issue with the new system here:

It’s a known bug. They’ve acknowledged it and said they’re working on a fix with no ETA.

Can you provide a source to this?

EDIT: Ah you are right

However, the “team radio” voicelines have been an issue for months now. This seems like a new implementation we will be forever stuck with. Pre-match interactions between characters have now been forced to broadcast over “team radio” for apparently no reason after seven years of being only within earshot distance.

Like usual they forgot to actually test it before shoving it down everyone’s throats.

I’ve never had issues with the team radio. Just sound cues here and there. This bug is something entirely new due to the other audio changes most likely.

I wouldn’t mind the reverb if we have the option to turn it off.

Not bugs. Those are known features which will be tuned and tweaked to be even more annoying in OW3. You’ll need to puchase the BattlePass and grind thru to level 80 to achieve the Volume Control perk.
