With the game continuing to be updated and the potential for 6v6 to return, please give some thought to returning player’s borders and cards at the end of matches.
Many players devoted hundreds to thousands of hours to leveling their border and it was like having a badge of honor when you got to platinum and the awesome diamond border. Plus it could be tied to the battle pass progression system so when the BP levels up the border would as well.
The counter argument is why borders were removed is because it could lead to toxicity that a high level border is not performing well, or they are in a “Low” rank. In my opinion, if a player wants to be toxic they will find another reason to be toxic outside of the player border. Whether it’s because of a skin or weapon skin, the scoreboard, or the hero they are using and that is what the avoid/report system is for.
In terms of cards, it’s nice to see how your team or the enemy team performed in the match and it often led to some banter at and end of a match too. Now it ends so quickly it feels “Off.”
Also the “Card/Results” theme was one of my personal favorite themes in Overwatch 1 and I would love to hear it return or be slightly changed.
