Retribution Throwers?

I didn’t think that this could be a thing, but it’s either that or my team mates are slow as hell. The drop ship will arrive for pick up, and a team mate or 2 will continue to fight till all of us are dead and we fail, like why? That’s a waste of everyone’s time.

Stuff like this is why the limitation of 2 people for block as team mate is annoying and lazy =/

I know right? I mean at least 5

This is exactly what I came here to complain about. It’s a BIG PROBLEM. I just had 4 games in a row where people won’t get on the ship at the end. It’s a nightmare. I keep reporting people, but I think Blizzard needs to do something because this is ridiculous.

There are several threads about this issue but noone from Blizzard has responded unfortunately. I had to stop playing that game mode because it happened too often.

Yeah, I understand, it needs to be addressed

I disagree idk. On legendary i’m going to jump in that drop ship the second I see it, but on normal / hard / expert I just like farming for a bit of an extra score. If you can keep killing things, I get a better score and ultimately end up getting more EXP. I do my best not to die, and try stay on the high ground near the ship, but if I can bring the heavy up, and fight on the edge of the ship where heals don’t require you to overextend, and if I die I can be revived easily, I don’t see the harm tbh.

Yeah that’s the thing, all the throwers are fighting as far from the ship as possible

What difficulty are you on?
Maybe they want to see what happens if you keep beating waves of enemies?
I haven’t encountered that many throwers so I must be lucky haha

Today it happened 4 times in a row on Expert, yesterday it happened to me twice on Legendary

If you’re staying on the high ground near the ship, that’s fine. What I’m talking about is the people who leave the high ground and die really far away. It’s pretty rampant. I’m not that annoyed if it happens on normal/hard but it’s really annoying on expert and legendary. Expert is pretty easy so it’s not as bad as when it’s happened to me on legendary, but it’s still really annoying that the ONLY reason I’m losing is because Genji decides to f-ck off and swiftstrike into a group of heavys and die a mile away from the ship. Also, sure maybe you get more xp for a better score, but you also get more xp for winning rather than losing, so I still find it annoying when it happens on normal/hard because I’m only in the easier modes trying to grind out some xp, not trying to waste time and then watch someone intentionally kill themselves.

Same, we just need to report all of the people who do that

Even worse are the people who wait until you get to the restaurant and then leave. I had a Genji while I was playing expert mode stay in the art gallery, say hi at us, teabag a spray and then leave the match.

At least you get points still.imagine it being like gta heists in terms of rewards as well…
The dropship should just leave 30secs after the first person entered it,players that dont make it should get way less points.

OH THAT’S AWEFUL, thats damn aweful

I usually get suicidal players rushing between the courtyard and the Heavy Spawn or players who constantly run off the docks. This is on Hard mode, and my usual group hasn’t been around so it’s a little frustrating. Other times it’s with the introduction of the Heavy, seen a lot of players group up to rez and no one running to distracting the Heavy away from the rez. Pretty frustrating as I’m usually top one or two except when I’m Moira (which I desperately try to heal everyone).

I also get people who drop in the middle of the match, really wish Blizzard would add a feature to fill in vacant spots, at least at checkpoints, I don’t see how it could be much different from checking teams and adding blank spots in normal matches (it seems plausible and reasonable).

tl;dr: Luck usually groups me with idiots who rush to their doom. And Blizzard PLZ add a feature to fill dropped players at checkpoints.

Not getting on the ship and fighting till you drop is one of the most fun things about the event. there is a reason it still spawns enemies
