Reputation level

When I start playing Overwatch my reputation change to 3 lvl, but i didn’t violate rules. I can’t get the 4th level, and if I get it, it switches after a few days. I should be 5th level now, but game just keep chanching it to 3lvl.

MAINTAINING YOUR ENDORSEMENT LEVEL

Your endorsement level can decrease if you do not continue to receive endorsements or leave games before they’re finished. Punishments within the reporting system may also strip players of their endorsement level and place them at level 0.

Hey,

i´m having the same problems, 4 weeks and 6 times lvl 4 and i dropped down to 3 even after receiving endorsements. It is just frustrating and it seems also winning or losing a game counts into the endorsementlvl. Also did i not lose my lvl during a longer break, but during my time playing the game, i dont violat the rules.

This seems not normal and it makes the game frustrating, i´m at a point where i wish i don´t had the System, don´t need the lootboxes anyways…

I think the System should be reworked, not proved reports, playtime and proved crashes should not influence the reputation…

This has also happened to me well over 4 times now. I should be well over level 3, but every time I level up, I go right back down to 3, even if I haven’t left a game. It’s getting very frustrating.

Read the link provided and the quote. You are all failing to maintain the rate to which is required to level up to 4 or 5. Even if you made it to 4 or 5 if you failed to maintain it then it will drop pretty quickly to 3 or I guess maybe possible for 2. However, most people sit on 3 and 4 and many go back and forth.

My own personal data suggests you need roughly 2 per game to maintain level 4. So if you go even 1 game without an endorsement your ratio is foobared and you will drop at the next interval check. Which is done periodically after so many games or time… this I am not sure but it does not appear to be in real time. It appears to be tied to some sort of game event like game time or game matches.

Also there are some exceptions to where you might be except and the ratios are not impacted or as much. So you can play arcade and you will not be penalized for not having gained endorsements on those games. Also, if you play with a group of players who already endorsed you.

In both of those cases there appears to be some sort of zero sum math going on because you are not gaining or losing from match play like you would if you played and did not get endorsed. HOWEVER, there is a second factor of the timer and you receive what I would call endorsement decay. Where even if you got 2 every match you really need like 2.1 because after so many matches/hours you will get a drop in your ratio even if it was acceptable like right before that moment. This is why I am unsure the exact numbers of gains and decay. With enough time I will be able to track enough data and have a fairly accurate guess on math and calculations they are using, but that is what I can tell you for now

I also had the same problem as you, my level of indication always falls from 4 to 3 but that only stopped when I started to leave games in the 4 player cards and this made me go up to level 5 of indication
