No matter how toxic people are, they don’t seem to get banned. I report at least one person every other match, yet never get a report that they got banned.

they they are not getting enough reports , maybe you are reporting only what you deem toxic due to being a bit thinnner skinned that your average player …
too many players are too quick to report for the silliest things , player asked me to swap i didnt want to oooooo report , player told me i was a bad dps oooo report,player said X diff ooooo report .

yeah no I’ve reported people for using slurs in match chat and didn’t get any notice that action was taken. And they were definitely the “I’m so edgy I use homophobic and racist slurs” type troll so it wasn’t just a heated gamer moment.
Also, your immediate assessment being that this guy is thin-skinned is weird. Why do you assume that?

too many players reporting over the stupidest things , then to come on forums making a thread as they didnt get an action taken respose from blizz , says to me that the player he reported hasnt had many reports against them ,and agaibn i say players need to stop being so thin skinned and butt hurt over some random internet strangers comments , the chances of seeing them again ina match is very remote ,

i won’t go into details of what you can and cannot say, since blizz didn’t like that the last time i posted it
but it seems normal trash talking is accepted now. i mean it is a competitive fps game. some trash talking should be allowed
but the worst words will still you get a warning very quickly, followed by more serious penalties
everytime you report them, what they said will be logged and once they finally hit the limit. everything they said before will be considered if they try and overturn the suspension
so the reports add up in a way even though there isn’t immediate action
I’ve reported people using the N and F words as insults, pure homophobia and you know what… No action taken.

You don’t always get a message that confirms account action.
This system has always been a tad buggy, I doubt it still works that well.
It’s already something that they sometimes send out these messages as privacy-wise most of these companies decide not to give these messages (or very rarely)
Though reporting for most things doesn’t do a lot since it relies more on detection rather than user reports. Though user reports typically do well if done in a larger volume as that prevents from one report just triggering an investigation, etc.
Try to keep it up. I always report toxicity in any form because if someone is capable of being toxic at the level I just witnessed they’re very likely to say and do worse things. Of course I see plenty of those “worse things” lol. I wonder if blizz takes action on reports in batches? It seems like I’ll report a bunch of people for a while, get nothing, then suddenly one day I have 1-4 messages waiting for me saying thanks for reporting. Idk if this is the case though.

As for why no action was taken, I think a lot of other people just don’t care enough to report or forget to so they end up getting fewer reports than they deserve
competitive fps gaming isn’t the place to be if you can’t handle some trash talking
you can easily mute people and if that doesn’t work you can uninstall the game and play hogwarts
blizz is slowly realizing that cancel culture is not the way to go in comp fps gaming and they are slowly allowing more trash talking

I’ve submitted I would guess around ~200 reports since OW2 came out and many with Game replay codes.
Never once have I received a notice that any action has been taken.
