I have met a tons of throwers lately, you report and avoid them, next couple of matches they are throwing in enemy team. The thing is that those guys get suspended because a lot of people report them, so you get the message saying some user got suspended thanks to your reports. But this season i haven’t got a message like that. so i’m wondering if reports are not going through or what?

I still have no pop up for the people spreading literal fascist propaganda in chat so my guess is no

Unfortunately, there’s no way to know. It’s likely your reports are going through but because of the massively increased player base (as they claim) they’re probably dealing with way more reports.
But then again this is blizzard so anything could be happening or the system could be broken, we do not know.
I have heard the explanation that the popup only appears for the person whose report is the final nail in the coffin… which is a beyond stupid design-choice.
It is hard not to give up on reporting when you barely receive feedback on whether what you’re doing actually has any effect.
They only care about reports in the forum lol

Are you on PC? Then yes, your reports are going through. It just takes numerous reports to prompt action.
Console? Probably not. System hasn’t worked in years.

it has worked in console the first two seasons, but this one i haven’t good any message after numerous people have reported throwers in comp. so i’m wondering what’s happening

Nothing. The system is still completely exploitable. Abused especially by stacks you don’t even know are griefing you.
A working system shouldn’t take years to implement.
And firing bad developement shouldn’t take years.
Code a fix or code a new CV.

I’ve filed a few reports on throwers/griefers and abusive chat and haven’t got any successful messages back.
I used to get fairly consistently success messages even in Overwatch1, but it’s like radio silent.
There’s this one bad support I’ve had blocked for like a week. Reported him twice as I keep running into him. He only throws and spams the valentine voiceline on Lucio.
Guy is a complete troll in qp games. He is still around.

honestly i cant play a good game anymore without people throwing or the enemy teams throwing. its no longer enjoyable to even play anymore. i had nearly my whole team throw because i was either using rein or dva. i was just trying to enjoy my first game on from a long day. now i cant even enjoy a simple competitive without someone saying something racists or making demands so they can have their way. what has this game gone too? this has been one of the more forgotten and disappointing sequel in gaming history, the image of what overwatch use to be is now ruined by all these players who throw for fun and make the game unenjoyable. theres really nothing done about this and you see all these other posts as a recurring issue and think to yourself are they even bothered about the toxicity of the current player base? or the influx of “new player” just making an account just to grief more?
