Reporting cheaters that are no doubt cheating

There should be another way to report cheating where you can submit videos to some sort of admin. ZC9NDD Watch the genji (Blueshark8t) in this match. Just watch the first team fight. You see the aimbot pull his aim away from my healers to the other people as he/she struggles to focus the healers. If you doubt it, just continue to watch some more. It’s obvious. My friends and I reported the player for it but I doubt any of us will get a thank you next log in. The player list should also be like Overwatch 1 where you can see who is partied up. That way, the people that are playing with the cheater could be reported also.

Thank you for sharing. Sadly, the game is overrun by cheaters in every rank and mode. Blizzard sits in silence, idle and laughing at us, while pretending to do something with “Defensive Matrix.”

Not a single game is without someone cheating.

A perfect answer to the question of why a game should not be free. The likelihood of cheating in paid games is much lower compared to free games. The reason is that players have to continuously pay a significant amount for a new account, whereas in a free game, they can create as many accounts as they want and have countless options to constantly test new cheats. Unless someone is extremely wealthy or harbors a deep hatred for the game, I don’t think they would put in the effort to do this in a paid game.

What’s worse about all this, is the fact that many of us paid for Overwatch 1. I don’t remember seeing Jack for cheaters. Blizzard took Overwatch 1 from us, a game we paid did, shut it down, and was like Overwatch 2 is better. We’re going to give you all this stuff (story, hero parks, etc.) when it first came out. Then, changed their mind on all of it. Then, at every low point, they give us one of the original ideas they had said they were going to give us at first. What next, are they going to add a MOBA game mode (they have the skill add ons [halloween gamemode],)?

800k in their last defense matrix, apex announced 6million lol. Its either one has inflated numbers or the other is completely ineffective.

Blizzard does not ban cheaters, trolls or trowers, they seem protected.

Not 800k. Last time it was “500k”, since then +300k and in total sum 800k.

This is ridiculous. Over 100 million accounts. 50% plaeyrs cheating. And they only managed to ban less than 1%. I bet 700k banned are for chat violations not cheating.

I’ve reported a lot of cheaters with obvious aimbots. The scope was just glued on. I never received any messages about thanks and actions taken.

because they do not ban for cheating only for chatting .

It’s because hacking in overwatch is not nearly as effective as hacking is in other games (so it’s not as common). Even just a wallhack in other games is HUGE. In OW, I rarely don’t know where the enemy team is. And on the rare occasion I don’t, it’s not like they are popping out from behind a wall and killing me instantly with a headshot, because they knew where I was and I didn’t know where they were. Yeah, aimbot can be effective, but, even that isn’t as important when you have characters like reinhardt, mercy, junkrat, etc.

AFAIK the email comes after the cheater is banned by report

No, “Thank you for reporting” is only for chat violations. It used to be information that action was taken for disruptive behavior.

I do not believe in this report system. There is no transparency, what actions were taken or what happened, and why you even get this report. It could be a wide range.

For a free to play game that is peanuts. They simply make a new account and the cheating goes on and on.

no. You can receive thanks for cheater report to email.

i caught a cheater last night but will not be surprised if nothing is done about them but you want to remove the name if the player as it is against the rules to list players on here

Doing it to make sure it this gets seen.

its against forum rules and there is the possibility of a player with the same name but different randomized numbers which you dont see it can rweuslt in a innocent player being a victim of a witch hunt

There is more chance of this game shutting down than having a working anticheat.

The only way they do something about cheating is if starts affecting revenue. Till that happens, it’s a waste of time.

At the very least people who are totally F2P should be deprioritized from playing with people who have bought OW1 or spent $50+ on OW2.
