Mercy can heal 50 damage per second.
Roadhog can heal 300 in a burst, it’s an 8 second cool down with a 2 second animation.

So in that time frame, Mercy can heal 500. But just because she can, that doesn’t mean she’s healing every second. She might be damage boosting, or reviving, or flying, or dying…

So it is very possible that Roadhog could get silver.

Roadhog also doesn’t need to heal EVERY time it comes off CD, most Hogs will save it for when they hit below half Health, so again, there’s no reasonable explanation for a Hog beating out an actual healer for Gold or Silver healing

And yes, DPS players do need to protect their Supports, but just as your excuse for that a Mercy can’t always be there to heal goes, they can’t always be there to protect you

The thing is, it’s not always the entire team being stupid or unable to PUSH UP STOP DILLYING YOU LIMP NOODLE up. I don’t want them to suffer because of stupid people, so I can get the pew peeing, kill who needs to get killed, and get back to healing.

I know how that can be, when our Healers die I usually go as far back as I can without being too far from the action to escort them back to point, doubly so if we do have a Mercy, and it always seems like people vanish the instant a Sombra decloaks near me

So in this bizarre scenario, the Mercy’s team is actively playing against her? I’m sorry, but I don’t think we can use a 1% situation as a basis for reporting battle Mercy’s. Yes that can happen (i GUESS) but let’s not use that vary scarce example to excuse battle Mercy behavior.

I want to make one thing clear here. I am NOT talking about a Mercy who brings out her pistol every once in awhile, whether it be to defend herself or secure a kill.

I am talking Mercy players who ONLY use their pistol and forego any type of healing outside of her own regeneration. They don’t rez, they don’t heal, and all they do is hunt for kills in Valkyrie.

The same can be said for any Support who goes for damage over healing.

That’s actively playing a hero against their intended role and working against your team, something that has already been clarified as reportable.

A report submitted on a Mercy player in the scenario described would be a false report, which means the player submitting the report is breaking the rules of the game and is liable to be banned/actioned for doing so

I’m sorry, but Roadhog having silver healing in role queue over Mercy can only mean one of two things.

1. The Mercy player is incredibly bad at the game, worse than your average 8 year old would be. Maybe it’s just a bad game, but still a very very bad one.
2. The Mercy is throwing and should be reported.

It was on a seagull stream at blizz hq with Jeff sat down, he explained that “Were not dumb, I know when you’re doing something you’re not meant to be, and we have teams ready to deal with these types of players” when the dpsing healer topic was brought up. So it has been said. Though, you’re gunna have to do your own digging for the clip as I can’t be bothered

They knew that 2/2/2 means if a healer decided to go full battle mercy or dpsonly moira the team can’t let them occupy a dps slot and pick another healer, so dps healers are a no no now.

How do you figure? The hypothetical scenario is that the Mercy never engages the healing beam or uses rez the entire match. They only use the pistol.

That is gameplay sabotage just like Mei walling in spawn or Reinhardt not once using his barrier. It’s trolling behavior.
