Are you using mic (not real looking the state of ow now but still) = report
play 5 or 6 matches everyday, stack at least 10 report everyday soon or later ends in a mute, in a ban, in something your account its red flagged. Not even in dota the hardest competitive game works like this, not even close. Never played a single multiple game where if you are chilling playing with music without saying a single word you can stack multiple reports in just a few matches, not griefing just chilling
where the game fails?, from start on matchmaking, and smurfs. Matches are not fair not even close
then the automatic report system, the dude who is cheating still cheating, the dude who is actually toxic still being toxic making multiple accounts, the dude who grief every match still playing
This is the main reason why the game lost that many players
PD: this new wave of overwatch players, its 100 times worse than we had years ago. I bet my life while you are reading this, you are one of these who report players every match, every day for any reason or just because you lost

Might be elo dependant what you get reported for, since iâm not a very good player, my team gets rolled, i frequently chat and use voice.
Not even a single warning despite playing upto 20 matches a day when i feel like it.
I only report insults, slurs or unaliving messages. Throwing if a teammate is clearly avoiding the enemy team and not dealing damage, or repeatedly jumping off the map while their team is still alive.
Once had a symmetra who kept just teleporting back and forth in front of the spawn and then jumped off the map. They kept doing that for the entire first round of ilios. They definitely ate a report for that.
So Iâm getting reported 4x per game is pretty much what youâre saying. But considering the fact that I wasnât actioned even once, it seems to not be an actual issueâŚ?

Very weird how Iâm always using chat/voice, have bad games, get rolled and Iâve never received a single ban on my account. I even flame/beef with teammates occasionally. Is it really that hard not to slur and have a mental breakdown every game?
Only 1 report per match is actually counted so nope
im super curious now. how many matches you play everyday, these are unraked or competitive, what region

at some point, somehow you need read the post, enter to the debate, and take the main topic in short words: how unlimited reports with automatic ban system is affecting so bad overwatch in the last years

This is certainly the MAIN reason I gonna park this account for years now. Got out of a 1 month account suspension and the only thing I was typing in chat before acc action was âavoid player Xâ
This game got TOO harsh in these automatic report system. I played for hours in 2017/2018 and got no trouble playing the game.
Now you stack 10-15 reports from Stacked teammates in ranked that are mad at you cause lost the match and you flagged, muted and suspended =)

Go play Mahvel. There is essentially no punishment system. You can tell me to swap off Iron Fist even though I am carrying just because the scoreboard made you big angy to your heartâs content.
Albeit, I have TRIED to get banned from this game and couldnât manage it. No idea how you people manage it.

Imagine if players had 5 reports per week, sounds a quick fix right? super easy but we still here seeing how this game loose and loose players every day
At this point i not only have the pressure of rank system by trying to get a new medal, i also have the pressure of being a saint and god player at the same time because everyone its ultra salty and ready to report you
I can see it very clear, every match feels the same, at least here in ranked games in southamerica
You may ask why are you still here playing this after all these comments, i dont know maybe im trying to have fun like i did in overwatch 1 at season 2 where we all were newbies and we didnt have this serious issues. I gonna finish like everyone does: quitting the game and blaming blizzard
That is a miracle cure, CarryTrade. It would definitely solve most problems almost immediately.
People deal with pressure in different ways. For me, it is just a game. I do not care about the icon. I am not necessarily a saint, but I do not really go out of my way to say anything particularly mean to anyone. I am sort of a god player relative to my rank. Thatâs just engagement based matchmaking problems. I feel for you, though. Even if it is not really something I concern myself with.
I would recommend open queue if you arenât already playing it. People care less and therefore you can get away with more.

Same. Yesterday I had a game where I swapped off Genji when they had quad beam and went back once they went triple beam. They went back to quad beam, but I was like, âyou know what, screw thisâ and stayed Genji. We lost. Just barely. Maybe my teammates hated me (even though I did better than them ). But if this was early Overwatch Uno, I would have played what I wanted to even if my enemies were cringe.
Iâm gonna be honest I report bad / toxic teammates frequently, I suggest other people in my team what to do when I see them struggling and more often than not itâs met with rage like last game, our dps is worthless and our rein is dying constantly so I tell mercy to help and stop damage boosting the dps non stop because itâs clearly not working, she got mad instantly and flamed me âitâs everbodyâs fault but yoursâ, she finished every round of Stadium with less than half the healing of the enemy mercy and our dps did nothing for 3 rounds in a row, so yeah, I reported both dps and mercy and I hope they all three get suspended.
People realised how most matches are either rigged by the matchmaker into some sort of stomp, aided by the latest in âgame designâ, or theyâre overrun by cheaters.
You can basically pick your poison. Whether youâre or red or blue, doesnât matter, what matters what bot has decided your fate.
Online games like overwatch are done. Thereâs no future for them. They simply canât fix the cheating problem and it only gets worse with every passing month.
Iâve been playing this game for like 8 years and never been actioned buddy.
At some point you are going to need to realize that YOUR actions are what are causing other people to report you. When, or if that will ever happen though, I donât know.
Some people are just socially inept, and then they come to the forums to complain about the system, even though itâs their fault. Itâs kind of funny, but also pretty sad at the same time.

The thing is, this new report system is too harsh and punish some type of player more than others.
I will get things clear for you.
If you are the guy that play 2 or 3 games a day, 3 days for week, you pretty much safe.
Otherwise if you play 10-15 games a day, 5 days week, you for sure gonna stack more reports from losing games than first case.
Two, if you play STACKED with friends in a wide group, np, enemy team RARELY gonna drop reports on you if no toxic interation was made.
BUT, if you play ALONE and not with 3-4 stack group, you pretty much gonna take alone the accusation of troll picks, not Counterpicking enemy, playing bad, etc from majority. Leaving the high chance of reports from a frustrated group that lose going at you.
So, there is no actually thing to do if you fit in the last part of 2 examples I gave.
The system is automatic and if you play a lot you gonna be flagged from toxic and frustrated people.
I pretty much understand why majority of streamers and friends that I follow/have are playing Marvel and other games.
I have 1,174 hours of Overwatch, 543 hours being unranked, 402 hours competitive, 215 hours arcade, the rest is experimental and game browser (custom games).
Never had any account action, never gotten a warning. Most of my gameplay has been in Overwatch 2, as I started to play Overwatch just a year before they shut down the original game.
