Report - Please explain (Juno related)

I’m currently doing placements, won 2 matches (with no Juno on my side) and lost 4 in a row (with Juno on my side).
I’m curious if reporting Juno players in ranked is allowed and if it would work.
People are supposed to play their best in ranked, with Picking Juno, they purposely weaken our team and i consider that - throwing - .

No playing a hero is not throwing

How is it not, if they are playing a underperforming, new hero, being completely useless in the match, instead of playing any other heal that will actually help the team?

You should find a therapist.

Reasons? How about, instead of insulting me, you read my post again and point out where i was wrong.

reports are open to anyone for any reason…

If you believe some one is committing gameplay sabotage or is intentionally deranking you can report it. Some people attempt to hide their deranking by pretending to be serious and intentionally miss their shots or pick hero’s they know for a fact will be useless like seeing enemy team has d.va ashe widow ana bap like the perfect anti flyer comp and as the deranker/sabotager you choose echo and just keep jumping in the air to be instantly killed and refuse to swap I think you can within reason report them for that even if they claim they are being serious.

if enough people agree with you then that person will get banned eventually.

So at the end of that day if you think the guy on juno is throwing on purpose to derank then yeah - report it. It’s gonna take dozens of people who agree with you to do anything though.

Would you like to be reported for playing a hero someone thought was a throw pick and get banned as a result?

Playing juno in ranked is probably the most effective way for people to learn the hero. It’s their skill bracket with a decent set of people wanting to improve. It’s not throwing. You might lose a game or 2 so what. If you’re skilled enough you’ll remake that up easily.

I won 7 out of 10 and I think I had a Juno on my team in almost all my games. Only you have control over your rank.

The reporting tool is completely opinion based which gives you the power to ban someone’s account. Here’s the best part, BLIZZ wont do sht about it. Go for it, it how BLIZZ has trained it community to be.

Reporting someone for that is excessive. It’s also going to do nothing. I find it a bit nutty.

you can absolutely report underperforming players.

probably won’t do anything unless they’re playing so poorly so consistently that lots of people report them.

i mean, they are blocking team progress.

dunno. i don’t think blizzard should be releasing new heroes into comp immediately, and it’s even worse that they time a rank reset/placements to coincide with a new hero release.

extra salt guaranteed.

hope you get reported as well

Choice of character is N E V E R throwing

Ever

Not at all.

Blizzard specifically calls out poor play as something that is not reportable

i’m sorry, but i’ve never seen the report function disabled… any time i want to report someone it lets me send one, so i’m not sure what you’re talking about.

there are specific rules about what can and what cannot be legitimately reported

if one chooses to report something that isnt reportable, like poor play or choosing Juno, this is known as a false report

Those who submit false reports are breaking the rules of the game each time they do so, and are liable to be actioned/banned for doing so

none of which are the user’s concern.

individual players have very limited information about other players. if someone is performing very poorly in comp, it might be a bad game, it might be a pattern. the only people who have enough information to judge are blizzard.

so you report them, all that does is flag their behavior for review.

the only rule governing user reports is that if you’re clearly doing it maliciously and without cause then that’ll get your account actioned… but if all you do is report anomalously poor performance in other players then you aren’t being malicious and your account wont be actioned.

if you have your own set of personal rules, that’s fine. blizzard’s rules on reporting are extremely lenient.

quite on the contrary

rules are at the heart of every game.

those who break the rules of game - any game, not just this one - are eventually parted from it.

Blizzards rules of reporting specifically state that poor play isn’t reportable. So if in one’s estimation a given player isnt performing well, thats specifically not reportable…per the rules

not at all

there is no review of individual reports

Blizzard counts on the players to follow the rules of reporting

in this case, if a report is submitted, the player who submitted the report has borken the rules of the game

not at all

there are several rules that explicitly set out what can and cannot be reported

if one chooses not to follow those rules, by reporting a player whose behavior did not meet a reportable condition, then the reporting player is submitting a false report, which is breaking the rules of the game, and makes the player submitting said report liable to be actioned/banned

if a given player A reports player B for poor performance, player A has violated the rules of the game by submitting a false report, and is liable to be actioned/banned for doign so

I do not have a personal set of rules

I follow (and speak of) the rules that this game sets

Choosing to report a player for poor performance is in essence creating one’s own fake set of rules to justify one’s actions. Anyone who would submit a report on a given player in these circumstances is doing just that

It’s allowed. You can report anyone for anything you want .

You’d be pathetic for doing it. But it isn’t wrong

Yeah, just ignore him, he’s a bot. You can perfectly legitimately report anyone for anything.

But the op might want to have a reality check first.
