Report Player for threats

How do I file a report with screenshots on a player who made homophobic remarks and terroristic threats towards me? I haven’t been able to find a link to do so, and let’s face it, Blizzard’s “help” isn’t very existant

Via web but really, its video game chat , all those threats are toothless from kids that never have a real fists fight on a street in their life

Report, block, move on.

P.s.These threats would be real if people would use your real name and/or your real location like home or apartments #,
otherwise its virtual barking of not so smart person

They’re also federal crimes, and it is emphatically not safe for you to assume that somebody threatening you is joking.

Cant comment on this, im not living inside your protective bubble

What you need to do is…

Add the guy to your friends list. When he accepts, tell him he’s a weak little maidenless chihuaha scrub.

And thank him for the laughs. Then unfriend him before he can respond.

Git im gud.

If it’s in-game you can right click their profile and report them. If not, you can try making a ticket with the screenshots.

Terroristic threats? Lmao. What did he say?

You use the report function in the game when the offence happens.

After, you can send messages to blizzard support but you will have to send several replies before a human answers you.

Right?

This is a complete stranger popping off at the mouth in an online game.

It’d be a little bit different if they were like “hey, here’s your home address and phone number and I’m coming to find you”.

Btw, I don’t believe words = violence, so that is the basis of my stance. I’m not saying that has any bearing on what the law(s) might be, just giving some context.

Don’t forget that you can’t report someone for making terrorist threats if he plays Junkrat, that’s just dedication.

Making threats of physical violence and harm is always a crime in the US, no matter where you do it.

When you do it online you’re doing it across state lines, which makes it a federal crime.

18 U.S.C. § 875

That’s… Not how I am reading that code.

Talk to a lawyer or learn more about it then? It’s in legalese but it’s really not difficult to parse or understand. The part that is pertinent to this discussion in particular is:

(c) Whoever transmits in interstate or foreign commerce any communication containing any threat to kidnap any person or any threat to injure the person of another, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both.
