The inevitable Overwatch death sentence: Rendering Device Lost
TLDR: RAM issue most likely.
Here are 3 potential fixes that I have known from others to myself to have worked.
-
Unconfirmed Fix for some: New Graphics card. I knew of a friend over a year ago who solved her issue by getting a new graphics card, however another friend did the same and it didn’t help him at all.
-
My Fix: Rollback Windows Update. OW crashed on my PC after updating windows around 2 years ago now. I rolled back the update and it has rarely ever crashed since. Instead of updating windows, go back as many versions as it will let you.

Friend’s permanent fix. His rendering device lost error snowballed into any graphically intensive game crashing on his system. Eventually after a year of looking for fixes he installed a new 8GB stick of RAM in his PC and has not had any issues since.
Ah thanks for the insight , seems like gpu is overheating for some odd reason, temporary fix capped the fps to 120 will probably clean the dust over the weekend.
