I really hope at blizzcon they announce stability fixes. its ridiculous how many times in a row my rendering device can be lost. this has been an ongoing issue since the game released. this is the only game that this happens to. lost 400 sr mostly do to constant crashes, admittedly ive lost matches as well but these nonstop crashes are insane. i cant even open OW if i have msi afterburner opened. i have to close out of it then reopen msi afterburner after i open ow for some weird reason.
This may be an issue with you and not with Overwatch, otherwise numerous others would be experiencing the same.
I’d recommend going to the Technical Support forums.
I have had this problem on my computer for a while, but it’s due to my graphics card being a 660 and unable to handle OW. I second it probably being a you problem, and to go to the other forums.
this has been a huge issue in the technical forums. i understand that not all situations are the same, but the render device lost this has been reported since launch
Again, this might be an issue with your computer, if it was a problem amongst all players, the playerbase would only report it exclusively. Also T.S. is used primarily for issues like this, that’s why there are tons of reports about it.
ive already gone through their technical support and this issue has yet to be fixed. i was just told not to run msi afterburner when i play ow. so i stopped. ive never gotten an anywhere with them on the rendering device lost issues. im not looking for tech support which is why i didnt post it in “Technical Support” im just trying to bring more light to the situation by instead posting in “General Discussion”.
Whether you know it or not, this is a technical support issue.
Yes im very aware this is a tech support issue. im not stupid. why dont you scroll through technical support and see all the same issues with rendering device losses. that is why i decided to post to other forums. again “TO BRING MORE LIGHT TO THE SITUATION”
Mind sharing your specs?
It is possible that your computer has trouble running the game due to having hardware below the minimum requirements.
7700k 16gb 3200mhz ram msi gtx1080 games on an ssd and the computer is watercooled.
If you would please calm down, then I’ll politely let you know that there’s no need to bring more light to this situation, because people are aware of it. They just don’t experience it because their computer can handle a game like Overwatch. Again this is a you problem, not an Overwatch problem.
its a me situation yet i shouldnt say anything because people are aware of the situation?
that usually is a sign of gpu overheating
and overwatch crashes because it crashes instead of cooking your graphics card
i’d recommend taking the card out
cleaning the fans inside the card with some compressed air
and reseat the card
and try ow again
but in advanced i’d turn on gpu temp so u can monitor it
There are ways to fix it, as tech support has found a way, that’s why you should be there and not here trying to bring more light to the situation.
its watercooled and definitely not overheating.
This was happening when I was trying to run it in 4096 x 2160 pixels on HDMI and not using a Display Port (because little did I know at the time TV’s don’t carry display ports yet) <.< >.>.
You using a 4k 144hz+ Monitor?
1440p 165Hz panel on dp cable
I got nothing.
