Rendering device lost (intel gpu)

okay so i decided to return to the game after 3 years of not playing and it is totally unplayable as sometimes i can’t even get to the main menu without it saying “rendering device lost”, i managed to get to the range and even hit genji’s ult but it eventually crashed again, this is frustraiting i really want to play ow but i can’t because of this problem, i had no issues before playing overwatch 2 in the past with the same gpu, also my cpu is a i7 4790 if that helps

Which Intel GPU are you talking about?

Edit: Is it the Intel HD Graphics 4600 mentioned in your duplicate thread? That is not a standalone GPU, which is a requirement for the latest version of the Overwatch client. Perhaps you were lucky and got it working before, but the developers will continue optimizing for the officially supported hardware listed on the link below.

i don’t know really, overwatch worked on my pc for years, mind you i am using the steam version, perhaps switching to battlenet would work?, this technically doesn’t make sense but figured i’d give it a try because battlenet’s version file format is different

Overwatch 1 could run on an Intel HD 630, which was a very low-end integrated GPU.

The version you’re using doesn’t meet the requirements after Overwatch 2 came out. Maybe you had it working, but it’s not supported, so troubleshooting that/finding tricks to make it continue working would be your responsibility.
