Removing Flashbang for McCree?

I didn’t watch the entire stream of updates for OW2, but I saw people mention in passing how they think they’ll remove McCree’s flashbang.

Um… am I the only one against this? Besides being part of his character, it’s on of his defining traits. I get they want to reduce CC, but does that mean McCree is just left with roll? …seriously?

I’m sorry but hearing some of these possible changes sound horrible to me.

Good, finally that hero will take some skills again.

They’re looking at CC across the board. There has been no confirmation of the removal of flashbang

If they were to remove the stun from flashbang, they’d either give it a new purpose or give him some other ability surely

Maybe they will change it to a temporary blind?

In the same time the were talking about flash bang , someone stated that if they do that, Tracer, Doom, Ball, would all run around unchecked dominating.

It wouldn’t be just removal you know

That would be silly

First off doom wouldn’t be dominating because even before Mcree was meta he was still trash tier at best but beyond that him and ball would also be losing their cc as well.

Its not about just the CC from those heroes, its about their speed and mobility.
Tracers, Genjis, Ball, Doom, Sombra, and whatever other hero that has high mobility will be a nightmare in the right hands when you take away flash bang, Meis freeze, etc.

They said they might do that. But even if they did, people will probably still whine about whatever they replace it with.

Well, they’re looking at reducing the power of CC in general outside of the Tank role, which means Doomfist’s entire kit (which entirely consists of CC) will probably be modified. Without his unlimited stuns/immobilization, facing him wouldn’t necessarily require stunning him to have a chance anymore.

We can expect Wrecking Ball to be stronger regardless, even if it is just as a side effect of reduced CC, since he’ll be a solo tank.

No they said they are looking to remove it but to replace it with something. They don’t just remove things. It’s for the better health of the game.

No, it means McCree is reworked with other things in mind.

It’s a different game, there’s a billion changes.

If you’re against that then you must be one of those terds that do nothing but Flash+FTH all freaking match and call that skill. And to that I say “Get good noob!” :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I would rather be blinded for a whole second or more than be stunned for even a fraction of one.

This sounds like great news. It’s so annoying to fight McCree’s at close range. The hitbox on flashbang is ridiculous.

It is a silly ability, why is a rootin’ tootin’ cowboy throwing… a flashbang?

Hey he’s not just going to not have an E-ability, he’ll get something else, something that isn’t a stun that cancels channelled abilities.

Maybe E will be a self-heal ability like swig from a bottle of whiskey.

Maybe his E-ability will become a miniature high-noon and he gets a whole new ultimate ability.

They said that they would look at those heroes as well

True,
But its not like they will remove Tracers dashes, Genjis various mobility, Balls rolling movement, etc.
I agree those heroes will have changes but they cant completely remove those things from their kits that are the source of what makes them troublesome. Because then they would pretty much be different heroes at that point.

I mean I doubt heroes like Genji/echo/pharah would be needed to change much due to their mobility not being burst(they use it more to setup.) But stuff like tracer’s small hitbox her ad-ad strafe as well as ball being almost impossible to kill due to his sustain are dumb.
