Considering im not a masochist and i dont enjoy non-recreational gaming and activities, and I dont know whom would.
Just the same as I wouldn’t shove my bare hand into a hornet’s nest and call that recreational fun.

Still trying to wrap my head around you thinking that not liking leavers = they must be trolling games.
Ideally there wouldn’t be any leavers or people trolling games. Leaver penalties reduce the former, and reports reduce the latter.
I can dislike both leavers and people throwing games which not throwing games myself….
It’s obviously not a perfect system, and I would prefer a leavers queue as punishment for quitting too often.
it stems from the fact that we go from people trying to make the game into something, to folks that truly aren’t there to play.
Why stick around and have to wait in a match when they dont want to do anything.
Can we just DDoS’ the heck out of their connection already or SYSkey them so we can get someone in then. legally no.
So just let people leave, we go find a new lobby to play in and they can have their cake and eat it by themselves.
Blizzard aint enforcing their games. so let us move on and go (redacted) off in another lobby to play.

Play ranked.
People care about winning. People don’t leave, because you are penalized immediately.
In QP I expect some people to be licking walls. Those are matches you lock in someone else and try something different. You’re still playing a game, go have fun.
If leaving is part of that, just remember you can’t leave every single match. It’s really that simple.
I say again, it’s not just an OW thing. No one wants you to leave games like a habit.

Again no, don’t tell me what to do, and second why the actual (redacted) would anyone play ranked in a FREE 2 PLAY Game? its no better in ranked because nobody BACKFILLS.
Logical brains knows that the system in quickplay backfills. so its not that big of an impact.
Sure, they dont want people leaving their games, because it hurts their feelings, yet we cant tell people in lobbies to play the matches. likewise it leads to account action if you do.
The penalties is flatout stupid alone on the grounds of “Gee dont ruin our games, but we if we ruin your games, well deal with us”.
Yeah its called no wonder why these matches are turning into pure trash. Sit and Wait sim is such a great game. Glad some folks like it. Might as well sit on the ground and scream to the wind “All hail the magic conch shell” while we wait around for nothing.
We’ve shifted from wasting time of one group to wasting time of another group. logic.

Personally I have found wayyyyyy more leavers prior to penalties, and even post penalties than people actively not trying to play and win the match. But of course they also exist.
And with a leavers queue, all the people who want to leave games can quit and queue up again whenever they don’t like something. Imo a great solution, leavers still get to play, those who don’t want to see leavers so frequently will have many less of them in their matches. Both sides win.

its honestly ez at this point. I sat down in python and used AI to help code out a system that addresses this and if I can do it ANYONE can. im nobody special and even I like this idea and felt it could work.

Sounds like you’d enjoy ranked, where people don’t waste their time in that way.
And as an avid leaver yourself, surely you’d understand why someone would leave your ranked match.
So why isn’t that the better answer here? Is it because you also can’t leave? (and it seems like you jump at the opportunity with this kind of heat)

not everyone has time for ranked and not everyone is skilled enough ofr ranked especially with the demand that you play meta characters

hmmm, I’ve never understood this reasoning. I feel it’s pretty rare you start the game up and play only ONE round of qp. After 2 games, wouldn’t that equal 1 competitive game?
Everyone is skilled enough for ranked.
Your skill determines your rank. If you aren’t that skilled, you get put in bronze - where meta characters don’t exist because there is no meta.
I feel you’re more likely to run into someone in qp “demanding” you play a certain way, than a bronze “demanding” you play meta

its what ive heard from others who have played comp usually meta is demanded or ya get reported for throwing
they should cap the leaver penalty at like…10mins.
and/or, let us opt-out of crossplay lobbies, solos vs. stacks, and improper hosting. the base game shouldn’t be coated in scat when all data-collect and impressions-formed are fake/rigged.

yeah and people like you sit around and pout in chat and be a keyboard warrior all day complaining about things while in match while you waste our time. how about go play ranked as well or typing simulator games instead of running around RDM’ing on maps and actually play the game instead. Maybe people would stop leaving matches you are in. Thanks.

I say almost nothing. Why babyrage when games aren’t that long anyways? Wasted stress on a game, what I play to get rid of stress lol
If I see someone feeding clearly intentionally, I do that swap thing I said before. Just play something else to actually get some kind of value out of the match. And go next. I’m not to worried about it. Plenty of other matches out there to be had.
I play the game. That’s why I don’t agree with these posts saying you want to play the game, when you leave them every chance you get.
I eat popcorn when those people get in chat.

Yes, bad apples do exist. But as a whole, in ranked people will try more, because they do want to win.
The “it’s only QP, don’t worry about it” is completely out the door.
And that’s the myth that people have about ranked. People are not trying more. Some people are, and some people are also just team players in qp too.
I’ve taken a lot of accounts from bronze to gm over the years and believe me when i tell you that on the average through the majority of the ranks qp and comp look like the same bad tv show.
At least in ranked you don’t have to suffer through pointless crossplay lobbies, but that’s about it.
I don’t care about you leavers. What’s inexcusable is getting the bans for their shoestring servers.
