Legit question here, why are there even penalties for leaving QP games? They’re not competitive matches and in all honesty, it seems really dumb to punish players in this fashion. What’s Blizzard thinking?
So people dont go match shopping and leave the moment they dont have an ez win. Some of they say “bro im fine if i dont win” but this is exactly the opposite reason.
We know people sometimes have IRL emergencies like family (not necessarily kids, but parents, siblings, pets), jobs, or something like that, but thats why you dont get the penalties at the first leave. And if you continue playing even though you know you have more chances for being interrupted, thats on you.
“play competitive then”
Reasons why people play this game, and dont ever (or most of the time) play competitive, its because competitive needs commitment, you being sure 99.9% that you wont be interrupted/etc. Also those competitive matches last longer than a QP match, and people maybe dont have that extra time. Also, its faster to do weekly challenges/BP just paying QP.
Wow I SURE LOVE BEING FORCED TO PLAY THESE UNWINNABLE 1 VS 5 GAMES BLIZZARD
WHERE DO YOU FIND SUCH GREAT PLAYERS FOR ME?
Its feels idiotic to punish QP as harshly as they do. Id understand if someone got timed out after leaving 4-5 games back to back but with the current state of the game, its just disgusting to force the penalties when there are literal thousands of people just afk or throwing. Nobody wants to play a match when team members are just sitting there doing nothing the whole time.
Uuuuugh…, it’s disruptive?
You have to leave more than 15% of your games to get more than a potty break’s worth of penalty, anything less and you’ll get rewarded for leaving. If you want to be able to leave more than 15% of your games, this game isn’t for you.
then we should also have a penalty for playing badly in QP since it is also disruptive if the player doesn’t pull his weight. since the leaver penalty now is leaving 15% of the game my suggestion is if a player gets reported for gameplay sabotage for 15% of their game they will also get the leaver penalty.
To show flashpoint is not a complete failure and a joke.
This mode was trashed out by leavers and instead of reworking and fixing or removing it.
They resorted to shoving it down to the players
Seems petty.
Agree. The Player who had Internet Disconnections and had to leave due to bad teammates who was extremely toxic and rude, or just something happening in real life shouldn’t be punishing and harsh for people to wait for 10 to 48 hours. I wish Blizzard could atleast remove the limit penalty on people because Quick Play isn’t really Competitive Matches at all since after a new season start all of that Competitive grind to the top would be gone regardless.
Penalties are bad for mental health and should be removed.
Ez win? I just want to play the game and leave the match where my tank is sitting in spawn doing emotes.
They know that they can’t fix those stomp games with matchmaking as this is a 5v5 problem, so only solution they see is to make you leave less with penalties.
nah
penalties are necessary as incentives to avoid breaking the rules of the game
Hot take: Flashpoint isn’t bad they should just make it best of 3 in qp
It can be fixed to an extent but it won’t make it enjoyable even then.
The maps themselves especially junkcity is procedurally generated look
You simply can’t balance large maps with grandma and genji.
One is there before grandma crawls out of spawn.
It’s over.
Either we need to increase overall basic mobility like apex did which will solve issues
Or can flashpoint
I’m really good at flashpoint with hanzo it’s a sneaker haven doesn’t change.ge overall experience of the mode is bad
It’s quite trash, every time it pops up more than half on each time leave. Maybe different in comp but in other modes it’s shyte.
I agree they’re necessary to keep the game and players in check, but does it have to be so serious for qp? Like comp I understand being a little more punishing, but qp isn’t supposed to be as serious.
In my experiences I’m still getting the same number of people leaving and joining qp matches. And from posts I’ve seen on here it’s more so impacting people who get disconnected rather than leaving for any kind of toxic or sabotage reasons. So im not sure if it’s working the way they intended it to.
I think they should have separate penalties for qp vs comp and other game modes. Like if someone is going into and leaving every single qp match they join, then that’s understandable to penalize. But do you think they should have a different threshold of games left for different modes?
It is my hope that the penalties are made more severe over time
Do they have to be? No. But they appear to be working quite well, so I see them as a very good thing
it is not petty, it is called being fair. If Blizzard wants to make it so that people don’t leave then they better make it so that it is fair to those who stay by giving the same penalty to those that refuse to change and keep feeding. cause they are also sabotaging the match for the rest of the team same as those that leave half played match.
so unless blizzard decide to change this I encourage players that want to leave to just follow their team and refuse to change and keep feeding since this is want blizzard wanted to encourage by introducing this penalty.
