Just had an 8 min queue, and “unable to join match.” So now we’re queued up for another 8 minute queue.
16 MINUTE QUEUE TO GET A GAME THAT’S NOT EVEN BETTER THAN THE INSTANT QUEUE GAMES WE HAD FOR THE FIRST 3 YEARS.
It’s been extremely frustrating, tbh, i think Role Queue absolutely ruined Overwatch. It’s kind of shocking how fast it killed this game.

Role queue has made the game about 10000 times better. It’s nice to go into a game in less than 1min pick roadhog and not have to worry about being bullied into picking boring orisa or Rienhardt as they other guy will pick it.
The only problem with role queue is the poor dps players hopefully when all the chaff has dropped down to where they belong every game will have passable dps for the Sr.

The tanks are having a blast because most of them [most] are terrible and get carried by dps …if they dont then back into a game within minutes as the dps go back to the end of a seemingly permanent 10 minute wait.
It takes approximately 1.5-2 hours to climb 92 sr and that’s [big if] winning 4 in a row.
Nearly half of that time is waiting to play

I think role queue was a great transition to overwatch. It just needs to fix some balancing issues. But overall way better than before role queue.
Before role queue 80% of the time, overwatch wasn’t played the way it was intended.
It would be one healer if lucky, no tanks or one tank, which would be non shield. If we had a healer it would be brig or Moira so they could dps instead of heal.
5dps most games. Depending on rank some people would be willing to flex.
It just wasn’t fun. Quick queue time yes I agree with that. But the games were sugar honey ice tea.
And the new patch (when ever it comes out :(…) should help things out a bit.
And let’s look at some positives for role queue.

Each role has its own rank. It’s kinda like having 3 alternative accounts in one, which is pretty cool.

The game is at least being played as intended. 2tanks 2dps and 2healers guaranteed.

If you lose 1 team fight you won’t end up with 6 dps and get rolled.
The only negatives I see with role queue is
- Long queue time for dps only.

It really doesnt matter what you or people think, he is in tank role so yeah he is definitely tank.

I see teams get rolled [quite frequently] with 2 tanks 2 dps & 2 supports and more helplessly so than pre 222
Its almost as if my donkey tanks are frustrated dps just blowing off steam in an off role…at least that is what i feel when i see tanks absolutely not tanking. More frustrating than 2 teams of 5 dps… [glory days of fun]

Yes she was support. But only dumb people thought she can fill healer slot.
Yes. Role Queue took a lot of power away from individual players who could actually counter by switching roles. Now, the game is 10x more limiting, and frustrating. Tanks suck? You lost. Almost nothing you can do about it.
So, 222 makes it so if TWO players are outmatched on your team, there’s little you can do about it. Used to be, i’d switch to tank. Now i get to sit and watch them do nothing, expecting picks from dps out of thin air when they refuse to even engage the enemy team.
My god, i hate it so much.

I see a lot of people on these forums who hate Role Queue. Blizz claims that it’s well loved. I don’t know where they get that from. It literally killed the game, imo.

Yea. Until 222 i never thought i could ever consider being a non-player
As time goes i stick around hoping for the best but the fun has gone down and my play time too about 80%
