Remove Reporting

The reporting system is getting completely misused and should be removed.

I play support and premade groups often mass report me cause one of them didn’t feel like they got enough attention.
I just got 1 month ban for mass reporting. I’m not even told i did anything wrong, just that i got reported a lot…

AI should ban people if they do something wrong. Not angry people with hurt feelings.

AI is wrong constantly. In no way do I want AI just passing out bans. I like the reporting system and the crackdown on toxic chat has been nice. Blizzard won’t even let you say cuss words here on the forums; they’re definitely not getting rid of a necessary reporting system. Plus they rely on that for catching hackers bc those guys actually do drive away their customer base.

Appearantly, group report counts as one, because people were abusing it.

I have been toxic in chat for the past month and I still haven’t gotten banned…no action actually

So these whole

(I did X and it got me banned) Really get me wondering

I believe that there is chance to get banned unfairly, but these people thinking, that one single thing got them is weird.

The more players suffer, the harder the company’s reputation will be hit in the future.

So, let them cook and wait for the right moment until Blizzard’s employees start drifting down the river.

They did unionize … so there’s that

Uh? Ha ha ha… Who is going to tell them?

The use of AI detecting things is not the same as AI passing out bans. Things that are flagged with the assistance of AI (and player reports) go to a real person who investigates the issue and finds the evidence. Or were you Ha Ha Ha’ing for some other reason?

If this is a habit, then it’s probably multiple of these stacking up that got you banned

You genuinely believe there is an arbitrator behind the screen at Blizzard HQ? I mean, that is clearly why I am laughing. You can be as toxic as you like as long as you avoid what clankers flag, fam. They ain’t no person sifting through thousands of reports. Once you hit the number, you go bye bye.

You have to literally harass them to get them to review it. AI is a part of that process too until you can break on through to the other side.

Don’t get me wrong, if you and your friend were going to roast each other the best place for it would… probably be Team/group chat… so whoever on you team(s) has been reporting you are odd

Nah it was an isolated incident. This is what the bot came up with when I asked why I got banned. No cursing, threats, cheating, or throwing. Words smh.

And how will AI know when someone did something wrong if you can’t report it?

Those only count as 1 so no, it’s not mass reporting.

Thats what happens BECAUSE the system is already ai

where do they find all these toxic stacks anyway? or hell, stacks in general. I mean since you can’t tell ingame without inviting everyone to your group every game, they must be announcing it in chat for some reason, I guess? But that never happens in my games somehow :woman_shrugging:

I don’t get why people don’t learn to just not talk by now. If you got a one month ban, you were given far more minor penalties before that and had chances to stop. I got chat banned once. Stopped speaking right after. It worked because I was saying toxic things like “tank diff”, “useless dps”, and now I refrain from saying such things or anything for that matter.

Well, I do not understand why you EVER bothered doing that. I guess it just boils down to different strokes for different folks?

Don’t let the Blizzard safety patrol dictate how normal people play. They could turn off chat just as easy, but they would rather leave it on so they can complain.

I was going through an angry phase. I have learnt my lesson. :pachimari_cry:

This all you listed is toxic.
I had people in my life dying to cancer. I hate how people throw that word around as nothing.
Judging by this sample, you are not really pleasant to be around. Not surprised you got reported…no offense.
