There is no reason that 2 enemy team should talk each other
Remove it and you’ll remove all the problem of “gg” “gg ez”

Edit: Suggestions in this thread: An option to disable it only.

Edit: the problem is “solved”. At least in a part.

“gg” is always toxic.
It’s not toxic if the team that lost begin the “gg” thing.

There is no reason to say “gg” every time too.

Why remove match chat? You have the option to disable it yourself for your own screen.

Just remember to mute it - its absurd that Blizz hasn’t made muting match chat a general setting yet. I eventually regret setting it always, as some knob makes some stupid comment on a win given enough time.

You can’t be serious.

You can’t disable ONLY the match chat. I want still use the team chat.

It’s not me. It’s a big part of this community because other people can’t incredibly stop to try to feel superior in a game.
Let them not to have that chance

I know, but that’s more of a player per player issue. You’re the one bothered by what people type, so you should be either taking your own precautions by disabling everything or not paying attention to what others say. I’m against toxicity and people saying “gg ez” to be condescending, but you can’t have everything removed when you have the tools yourself.

The only thing I can agree on is having the option to disable match chat itself as an option, but not have it be removed for everyone. Not all of us are that bothered when someone says dumb things.

That’s not what I’m saying. There isn’t always some troll saying “gg ez”, there are often friendly banters or quips between teams. So yes, I’d say offer the option to remove it, but not have it completely removed for everyone.

Match chat is staying. No way they’re removing it because you or a few other players see a simple expression that uses two letters together as a form of toxicity. If it bothers you so much to see those letters then just type /hidechat to avoid it in any games.

Edit: you can toggle it off in the party menu. Find the match channel and simply toggle off the text chat box.

In general i suggest you to make a search in the forum.

You can’t. And you shouldn’t. It’s simply toxic. Like the “OMG C9 AHHAHA”. If the enemy team make you win, stop. You win. You shouldn’t care about how they wronged.
