Quality > Quantity.
Fun > Variety.
I’d rather play the same 5 maps if the rest of the maps are piss poor.

Easy fix, Make Kings row come up more in the voting, or make it come up every time
Easier fix: Add a “Random map” vote option to let us vote for the game to pick a map (from the entire pool) at random.
Let chaos reign.

nooooo, if i miss kings row to a random choice i’m going to cry.
That can already happen today though. Besides, it would mean you could roll Kings Row randomly in any given game.

ok, fine you get your random button but kings row comes up more often on the vote screen. I have only gotten it twice since voting has come up, it won both times but still that is some low rng
In my past 10 games, KR has come up 1 time. It was not picked.
Dang, in my past 10 games the only map I’ve replayed is Aatlis 2x.
What game mode do you play in?
QP mostly since my cat likes to take over my mouse pad and i don’t want to ruin peoples ranked games when she does

Hm, I wonder if that plays into it.
People, most likely, want to play ceratin characters.
And they know those certain characters are better on certain maps.
So they’re more likely to vote for those maps.
Meanwhile with mystery heroes, you don’t know what character you’re going to get.
So picking a certain map in the hopes that you get that character doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.
So people pick the map they would rather play because they want to, not because they have a specific character in mind for it.
Now if only people stopped voting for Circuit Royal, Havana because muh escort

Had the Axis Powers rotation of circuit royale, havana, and junkertown.
But I’m at least glad because every game I’ve ran into where havana or circuit royale was a choice, everyone voted for the other options.
Haven’t played circuit royale since last season.
So far I’m liking the voting system as I only played 1 flashpoint and 1 clash maps. I am not a fan of these so it’s been a positive.
Personally I’d say the 2CP maps should be brought back now that voting is around.
Keep map voting. Never play waste of time control maps with multiple rounds again. A reminder that your two round losses caused by throwers will only count as 1 point for challenges so congrats for voting for them.
Simply release a new QP lobby without map bans (not in Arcade, if possible).
I’ve never been so late in terms of progressing my BP (even without the XP penalty people get without purchasing the Premium BP).
Arcade queue times are too high and there are not enough Arcade related daily challenges for us to XP… I’m not even sure I’m gonna be able to finish the BP, for the very first time.
I hope the OW team fixes this fast.
This is hyperbole. It is also getting less and less accurate as I’m now finding that the popular maps like King’s Row are getting less and less votes. People have overplayed them now and are looking for more variety I guess.
This will continue to change until an equilibrium is hit which, hopefully, will be to play the better (in a popularity sense) maps a bit more often, but to still have a reasonable variety. More importantly, you will play the less popular maps less than without voting. Not good for the few that like those unpopular maps though.
Yeah more “variety” as in “Gibraltar” “Rialto” “Hollywood” or whatever old Escort or Hybrid maps from 2016

Euphemize it as much as you but it’s clearly not a hyperbole. The pro “alt accounts” members of the Overwatch community are actively boycotting anything that’s not Escort or Hybrid through map bans.
We are in desperate need of a QP lobby without this feature ASAP.
But it is. In about half my games I don’t even get offered one of those maps so have to play another. Certainly not stuck on just the old maps.
It would also help if the developers didn’t keep making c/f/trash modes and maps.
I just want a setting that auto picks for me
