I don’t like control maps. I’m all about Escort & Hybrid. I’m not a fan of Oasis, it’s one of my least favorite maps. I’m also not a huge fan of Havana or Circuit Royale. So, me personally, I’d vote Eichenwalde every time if these are the choices.
I think map voting is good.

I like all modes other than clash. Some more than others, but generally fine with them. Some maps in the modes I’m not a fan of, but so be it. As for clash, after 20ish games yesterday, it certain was voted for the least in my experience. Tho it did win on 2 votes and then 1 vote the very next match >.<. Still like being able to vote instead of just being given something bad. Even if my pick doesn’t always win

Yea it’s so annoying and I hate when people have opinions or like things that I don’t like! We should just remove everything I don’t like from the game and it should all be based on my opinion and not consider what anyone else wants or likes
God forbid I have to spend a few minutes playing a video game map or mode that isn’t my favorite. The absolute outrage

I suppose I don’t hate any mode other than Clash either, but I definitely have favorites. I prefer Escort & Hybrid. I actually like Flashpoint which I know is a minority opinion. Push has grown on me, but I still believe it shouldn’t be in comp. Control is probably one of my least favorite modes. But I make due. Clash though, man I hate that mode. It’s not the maps, it’s the mode with that one. The rest, yeah I have some preferred maps and some I dislike.

But I’m not really a fan of map voting so far. Haven’t even gotten a chance to play on the new map, or the reworked flashpoint maps, or clash. I get that people don’t like these modes/maps much, but I’m getting sick of being in Hollywood & King’s Row purgatory and I wanna switch it up a little every now and then.
How about just make every game Kings Row

Yea, for me the modes range from like a 6-10/10 with push being my fav. And clash is 1/10. Hybrid and escort defense is like a 6 where attaching is a 8/9. For qp anyways, I’d like to know which side of the map we are getting to vote on. Tho I suspect people who see it say defense would be less likely to vote than those seeing attack.
Either way, I’ve enjoyed the system so far, with some choice. More people have been picking push and flashpoint than the forums lead me to believe. Tho I do think hybrid and escort got the most votes yesterday, which I expected.

Good thing there isn’t less maps? Just because people are being given a choice of map doesn’t mean blizz is removing things from the game
Even though this is the most popular map, I actually know people who don’t like this map. And I think after a handful of games, you’d get bored with it. Variety is the spice of life.
blizzard needs to realize that individual choice is important. not collective voting.
everyone’s taste is different.
same thing for them. they have a starbucks in their building. they wouldnt like it if a person ordered a chai tea latte and suddenly the barista yelled out into the room for customers to vote what they have to drink and the room votes for extra dark triple esspresso no sugar.

This would be a huge win! I wish we knew this in advance too. I prefer attack to defense. But also, it would be kinda neat to have both sides. Unfortunately, Escort/Hybrid are the only modes in QP where you don’t get to play a full round. Everything else might as well be comp.

People are only going to vote for escort or hybrid maps since the perception is that they require less team play. They’re always going to favor mobile cover and partial progress with checkpoints even though their issues with other modes have nothing to do with lack of those things.

Either remove map voting in QP, so we can still access to certain maps and game modes OR make it so that the system randomly picks the game mode and players only vote for what map they want to play within that randomly selected game mode.
We can love Escort and Hybrid as much as we want, Flashpoint, Clash and Control exist and have the right to be played.
Last solution would be to keep map voting only for Competitive (and let people exploit SR there) just like for Hero bans.
Yup, pretty much and also because Escort and Hybrid are slow-paced and more predictable in terms of “tactics”. Those two games modes are close to what I would call “tutorial game modes”.
