Map pools are a garbage idea, its not fun playing on the same 8 maps over and over again. BRING BACK NUMBANI!!!

Map pools aren’t a bad idea, but simply implemented poorly.
Rework map pools.
If youre gonna say its implemented poorly and its better to rework it, then say why its implemented poorly and what could be better about it.
Tbh i dont see a reason why map pools are good right now, just let us play on all the maps, more variety is better imo. Im sick of playing control points over and over and getting a payload map every 4 maps.
They are reworking some maps rn (I hope so)
There are so many more maps than existed in the game when it released. This is a good thing, and map pools are necessary and a good idea for the game.

I concur map pools are lame, I am already bored with the maps, all map pools do is make my start to hate the maps i liked.
Well I was just adopting OP’s style, you should also expect the same from the opening post

Map pools allow for curation of map experiences and allow players to participate on maps more frequently than they would with the deluge of map options available.
It’s an alternative to specific player map choice in matchmaking while allowing for curated variety.

Now it’s poorly implemented due to the fact we have the same maps for two wholeass months. At the very least, two rotating map pools should be implemented within the two month period, with the comp rotation being static and the QP offering the choice to players as to which pool they would prefer.
This allows for frequency and grounded expectations for the maps you get in comp, knowing what works with your/your team’s play style so that you’re not hit with a random map you might not be good at while allowing for consistent play to get better at the maps available.
In QP this also allows for greater player variety while also allowing players to practice on a pool they might prefer or want more practice in when it might be rotated off in comp at that specific point in time.
They are not going to remove map pools because they give the illusion of receiving new content. Otherwise some players will drop this game when they realize that every new season is the same as the previous one.
