Remove life grip entirely

I like it. Now that you mention it, though, here’s my Life Grip rework.

Now it works like this with an added shield:

Honestly, I hate it even when it’s used properly and saves me. I just don’t like being pulled. This one ability makes me despise seeing a Life Weaver on my team. I just hate it and nothing is going to make me like it or him aside from completely removing and replacing it with a new ability. The trolling and bad pulls are a lot, but like I said, even in the rare cases it’s used well I still find it jarring and obnoxious.

Cool, I ain’t defending Mei wall as a fantastic ability, and despite playing a lot of Mei I’m not scare of her getting a rework to wall if it means making the game healthier.

But just because you don’t actually want to contribute to a potentially better game, doesn’t mean we shouldn’t.

do you know the number of times I have died playing tank to a bad mei wall a lot you know how many times i have died to a bad weaver pull none.

Do you know many times I’ve lost agency to a Mei per game? Like once on average maybe.

Do you know how many times I’ve lost agency to a Life Weaver per game? Like 8 times on average.

LOL – This is the best one yet.

I’ve never died to a Mei wall, ever as either tank, dps or support. I have been blocked at spawn though - and that is total trolling.

I have however been killed and otherwise made to lose a game by LW’s LG.

Stop trying to make up stuff to support you wanting to keep LG.

im not making stuff up mei walls me off with the enemy team and i die it happens more often then a bad lw pull stop acting like every lw is trolling then because thats what this post is someone doesn’t like being shown they are wrong so they want it removed from the game

Because we all know you’re trying to make the claim that Mei and Life Grip are equivalent because they both have trolling potential.

Except that the problem with Life Grip is that no matter what you use it for, it explicitly ruins the agency of whomever it is gripping.

Meanwhile Mei Wall, is explicitly for restricting the agency of the enemy team.

See the difference?

This doesn’t really solve the problem. 0.5s is not enough time for most people to react to it, and once you’ve been moved at all the damage has been done. For the times it is used well, 100 overhealth is super broken, especially if the LW uses it on the active battlefield as a way to overheal instead of as a save.

So it basically doesn’t really solve any of the agency problems people have, while also making it even more oppressive to play against.

Eh. Make it a second then, I think 0.75 would be plenty for me.

Which is why I’m fine with an invuln instead for 0.75 seconds if we don’t go the overhealth route.

And that gives him something for high elo. Instead of just constantly compromising map control.

Like it’s powerful yes but it can be balanced.

Cool we can always change the seconds.

And we can always change the numbers.

But it needs to get a rework.
