No. Increase it to 50.
25 is too low

remove cap entirely, everyone starts at zero SR. Yes the 9 year olds will have poor quality matches, but intentional deranking will no longer be a problem

Lol in the grand scheme of the game it doesn’t take long at all to get to level 25. Is this your first account? Maybe you want to join competitive play, but I doubt others on your future team want you to.

Thats not how QP work, i face GM players and im plat, im sure plat players are way more easier to find than GM, but that doesnt mean that my MMR is GM.

The first time you do your placements it goes off quickplay MMR thats why some people the first time they do placements get into masters games to start. My last account was playing with masters/diamond in quickplay and placed at 3200

Yeah this is so horrible. I once wanted to level up in mystery heroes and ended up playing with gms and even top500 and waited for next game like foreverer 8 minutes+ too. I had to start throwing hard to get fast games again and then play bad on purpose to not end up there again.

Yup I agree +20 characters to fill in the unneeded whateverandwhyitdoenstchangetoallowlesscharacters???

100 would be better.

Or at the very least, have it so that levels 25-50 only play against each other, then 50-100 as well.

That way the newbies get a feel for Competitive whilst playing against similarly skilled others, then when they hit 50 it’s like an “advanced mode” for a time til they hit 100.

Then 100+ can be matched with anyone.

Of course, this would only work if Blizzard did away with smurf accounts.

100 levels is insane and waste of time for someone who is interested only in competitive.

If you’re serious about Competitive (as you should be), then it’s not a waste of time at all. It’s an investment.

Well if i would know as a new player that i need to play 100 levels of throw away matches in which noone cares at least a bit to fill a comp or play any serious at all playing 6DPS comps with no intent to do something besides farming POTG i would never buy this game.

People want to get into a competitive enviroment as soon as possible. Normally the rank system should put them were they belong really quickly (not smurf = bronze most of the time) and from there they can start their journey. There is no need to raise the level cap. Further, smurfs will just buy lvl 100 accounts as lvl 25 accounts are also offered all the time

No, level 100 is just insane xD

It’s because people play different stuff in QP or don’t try as hard. It’s still MMR based. A GM mercy main might play DPS in QP and have plat MMR. Or if they’re grouped with someone that all goes out the window.

I think Lvl 25 is ok, 50 would be nice but not necessary.

Anybody with a brain will know to practice as much as they need, regardless of rank, until they are confident in QP, before jumping into comp and getting annoyed that you placed gold.

If i have main acc and created alt, its waste of time leveling to 25 or 50 or even worse 100.

Yet again, another thing I think the separate hero SR solution would fix.

Don’t want to ruin your SR? Have different SR for every hero, and you can play whatever you like in the skill level you are at with that hero

I dont understand how you would want to do that. How would be people placed into games with different SR on heroes?

It would have to be on roles. Like so many have asked for role Q. Would require fixed roles on solo Q e.g. not too bad idea actually
