Honestly, this needs to go. It was a great idea to implement but i personally dont think it should be in the game. At least when it benefits certain heroes (particularly dive heroes) more than others. It’s too situational for certain heroes to be powerful with it while others dont really get much from it.
At least two ways i can think of this is that this dps passive can stay with certain heroes while those who benefit from it the most (dive characters) get it removed. OR create a brand new dps passive that can benefit all dps almost evenly and fairly. Just my two cents here.
Yes? The title literally talks about the DPS Passive that benefits from DPS only? I’m just simply stating that it inflates the benefits for dive heroes a lot more than a different dps hero like sym or mei as examples.
Maybe? A situational one at that but fair among all dps. Could be fine for starters. Maybe another one could be receiving more healing benefits from not just health packs but from supports, payload, and other forms of healing as well by like 50%? Just throwing out ideas here maybe.
that could maybe still favor dive heroes more than other dps characters in this regard as it gives more incentive to snowball and dive a lot more. i think maybe 50% more healing from any source of healing for all dps would be fair to all instead of being lopsided for certain dps characters.
It messes up widowmakers aim after you get a kill because it increases your movement speed, so when you are strafing, you dont have the same muscle memory.
The problem is the DPS Role is all over the place. How can you say GENJI / HANZO / TORBJORN have the same value? Each one plays completely differently than the other. How can you give them a perk that is equaly good to all??
But the role passive is what should make easier and better to balance the game. It’s just not good enough yet
If DPS was, for example, SNIPERs, FLANKERs and UTILITY then each would get a bennefit specifically to those. maybe that would work for example SNIPERS do 3x headshot damage, flankers mov. speed, utility idk (i know these values are op, it was to get the idea)
Ah i get what you mean. instead of one dps role across the board, there will be a dps passive for each dps class as in subcategories? Yeah that can work since each dps basically has a different subset of their respective class roles.
As a Hanzo main, the other half he does get is straight up a detriment. Hanzo doesn’t want to constantly be changing movement speed, really throws off your aim.
I feel would make more sense if the DPS PASSIVE was about the killing. Like the act of kill not the assist counting as ellimination that has always been around. Doubles, Tripples Team kills that sorta thing. You are a DPS, that’s your job.
More ult charge for consecutive elims. that sorta thing
