This is false. When she had 400 armor and a 4 second defense matrix, she was not picked in pro play with only 500 total health. It wasn’t until that got buffed that she really started getting played.
Just by seeing the first 2 posts and the number of ACTUAL people who liked it, I feel glad that blizzard never listens to this forum’s balancing decisions.

300hp/200 armor with no crit box? That’s next level noob conforming move after the mess that was brig, and that’s coming from an offtank/D.va player.
She feels less in your face in PTR now, where previously she could just run into ridiculous positions because of how tanky she was with matrix. She needs more thought out movement now akin to playing Zarya, instead of how she used to be basically a fat Tracer/Genji.
Just deal with it to be honest. No crit box is ridiculous. The only hero with no critbox at all is Hamster when he’s on ball form, and he can’t do anything besides running. Don’t tell me having 500 effective HP with 6s cd escape/mobility and NO critbox, AND still be able to shoot people on their faces is fair. Heck, her no reload weapon is already low skill you can’t make her even more low skill.

Orisas damage getting ‘buffed’ won’t help when she’ll melt faster than an afk Tracer next to a Widow :c
The change doesn’t really affect her matchup with Widow though. Widow gains a whole 2 damage more per scoped shot against Orisa which isn’t much.
It will change how much damage she takes from another Orisa, or a Bastion, or Tracer (with headshots), etc.
I can’t agree that she got hit harder than D.Va even though I personally agree that it does impact her a lot due to her low health and giant head. Here’s why.
- D.Va has the largest crit box in the game. The armor changes are more impactful for headshots since some heroes only get a bonus on headshots (Tracer). Orisa’s head is huge, but not as big.
- D.Va gets no damage bonus, but Orisa gets a fairly substantial damage bonus against armored targets. While I don’t fully agree with this viewpoint, there are people calling it a buff to Orisa because of this. She will be able to punch through other tanks armor really fast now comparatively.
- D.Va’s primary off-tank competition, Zarya, benefits the most from the changes out of any tank.
- D.Va got a targeted nerf on DM which makes her crit spot even more vulnerable than before. Because it is nearly impossible to miss her crit spot from the front, when facing a target she has 300 effective hp. And now she can’t protect that nearly as often.
I didn’t compare Orisa vs’ing a Widow, I compared that she’ll melt as fast as an afk player will vs widow (afk? ez kill for widow. Immobile robot horse? Ez kill for everyone)
Orisa is one big hitbox, with a big critbox, no mobility (unlike dva) and no way to really help herself against damage except a low hp shield.
D.va has missiles to do damage and scare off people going into her face, rockets to boost away, and she still has the option to eat almost all damage, even if its cooldown is upped.

D.Va’s state is horrible and they are even nerfing harder. Then they wonder why this game slowly dies, First the community , then its killing the most liked characters

Just came here to point out that I like how it was said here with such sarcasm and then every coach and pro-player consistely talked about if GOATS wasn’t META, Wrecking Ball would because he can be hard to punish if you have a brain.
Bumping this thread cause its a issue that has to get noted at some point.

Other tanks have gotten head hitboxes reduced. Dva with the biggest critbox still can’t have the luxury of even normal sized critbox. Other tanks can’t be crit from behind either, hammond can even remove his critbox completely and he’s very very sturdy tank, so dva is not magically exceptional, she’s just superfat target that’s impossible to not hit and it’s easier to crit her than not actually crit her. You have to CONSCIOUSLY TRY TO NOT CRIT A DVA, while resting your cursor unmoving in the middle of the screen and pressing m1. Her critbox is that huge.
Especially after bazillion nerfbats and upcoming 2-2-2 role lock, Dva needs help, badly. Her defensives are paper thin at this point with the insane dps damage creep and her tanking capacity cannot even be compared to someone like wrecking ball who can get in and out without feeding any ulti charge if you simply shield. That’s the standard of a dive tank nowdays and Dva is a sad excuse of one.
