why cant pc players opt out of cross play ? there is zero reason to force me to play with console players .i dont want them i dont need them . until this change is reverse i will not be playing the game .nor i will ever make the stupidity of ever buying a blizzard game again .

I want to opt out of crossplay too as I have nobody to play with who plays on any other platform just Xbox but you need to shut off crossplay as a whole through Xbox settings. Problem is although I don’t need crossplay for overwatch I have 3 cousins who are all on ps4 to play Apex legends with so if I turn off crossplay to play overwatch I’d have to turn it on and off-you get what I mean.
I also strongly believe the new crossplay is bugging my game out and making me lag immensely and also every game I played since cross play dropped there’s never more than 2 other people in voice chat. Mabye it broke vc for some people? I have no idea I kinda just don’t want to be auto locked into crossplay for overwatch but I do understand it’s still in beta.
In other games like mw I can hit the crossplay on and off
Play competitive if console players are really ruining the game that badly for you.
(Chances are, you’re barely encountering them btw)

Agreed, I spent several minutes locating a way to opt out of playing with console players to only find out we are unable to. If you’re going to provide this feature to console players it needs to be a feature for PC as well.
What reason do you need to opt out? Console players are literally at a huge disadvantage due to mouse and keyboard being better? There’s no reason to.

I had a console widowmaker in my lobby and I tell you that wall behind the enemy never saw it coming.
If this is such an issue for you, play comp. There’s only pc players in competitive which would solve all of your issues.
That’s not an acceptable solution. Not everyone wants to play comp 24/7. An acceptable solution is to allow us to opt out of playing with console players.
you are already opted out of crossplay, PC players will never ever ever get a console player without queing with another console player

This is false, unfortunately. When you que solo as a PC player you are placed in the PC pool. Now if someone is a PC player grouped with a console player, they are also in the same PC pool, which means as a solo PC player I can be placed in games with console players. It has happened in most of my games.
This is not true. Solo queue PC players can get into matches with PC/Console parties
